" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
Majority of the customers don't know how to check if the unit hasn't been tampered yet, replaced fake parts, or even the right serials. Let's use your examples.. ipad and Iphone 4. If ang person 1st time pa mopalit or nakagunit sa units and items, how can he distinguish the difference or tell if its tampered or naay giilisan na parts? they can always use "system restore/ restore factory setting" or delete everythin including the numbers and apps. @jd_cellphone kabaw man gud ka mocheck sa items pero daghan man dili kabaw or ignoy sa gadgets so dili jud sila mokompyansa ana.
yeah im oa when it comes to buying stuff. hard earned money nako nya ako rang ipalit anang opened/unsealed item? to think na dili reliable kaayo ilang company. with the negative comments in this thread and from my experience dili na kaayo ko mosalig anang unsealed items.
customers can be wise but im sure mas wise ang seller.lol one thing na sayop ni ts. why didnt he ask about the gift certificate before giving the money or checking the item?
the shop can always say "the gift cert is the mem card thus making the item cheaper. our store is making items cheaper slashing the added accessories from the suggested retail prices that are not being offered by other shops."
i think there's a misunderstanding between the two of you ^_^ ...
jd_cellphone is talking about the sticker ON the box,
while i think cococrunch is talking about the warranty sticker on the actual unit.
btw i think replacing the sticker ON the box is ok lang, kay dili man gyud na malikayan nga naay customer gusto mutan-aw sa actual unit before mu-decide kung paliton ba niya or dili (like me) and most shops just replace these stickers to re-seal the boxes anyway... so we really cant say how many times the box was opened.
but a missing/broken warranty seal on the actual unit may it be brand new or not would be a definite NO NO NO for me.

naka palit nako twice ani na store so far so good paman ang units and it's true ubos gyud ila prices kaysa uban shops![]()
@yokam murag ikaw maoy nasayop. i was basing my reply to his statements.
i said unsealed item or opened box or the sticker ON the box. if opened ang box tendency ana naay replaced items IF ang customers dili kabaw mo check or walay alam anang item. lets say ang mga tiguwang or mga illiterates do you think ila nang halughugon jud? syempre modepende nana sila sa assurance na sealed ang unit dpat intact pa tanan.
the shops who are selling their own items like sony, samsung etc can replace the stickers kay ila man ang unit. i doubt ang distributors or shops like celpod allowed na sila moreplace sa stickers.
the shops should provide dummy or test phones not the actual unit if gusto ra ang customers motan.aw. na quality check na ang phones pero dili sad nimo madetect jud ang defect sa pila lang ka minutes na check.
if ganahan jud sila mopalit sa item nya nakabayad na sila then pwde na iopen ang box nya itest ang item.
mao btaw na naay #of days replacement kay di malikayan naay defect ang unit. mao nana time na mosulod ang warranty sa item.
(the sticker ON the box only guarantees the item is genuine and has been checked for quality)
Read the pic above. DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL is broken.
Bottomline is, as a buyer, seller cannot force customers to buy opened / broken sealed / unsealed box and this is not over reaction from customers' end. The integrity of the item is when the box of the item is sealed. If it happens that the customer is not that meticulous and will buy the item, then no problem at all. This is just case to case basis.
I'll give an example scenario. You happened to buy and item (brand new) here in Istorya. Of course, as a wise buyer, you need to look for an item in which the seller assures that the item is brand new, SEALED with no hidden defects. At the course of the transaction you agreed to buy the item. And eventually scheduling for meet-up with the seller. But upon meet-up, you've noticed that the box of item is has broken sealed or box is already opened, do you think you will agree with the seller that the item is still BRAND NEW?
