I was really about to admire you people about your stand against jueteng, and corruption of the Estradas even if the same were mere accusations. However I was dismayed by your inconsistent reaction when jueteng charges are thrown upon the Arroyos. Unlike the case of Estradas which you took hook, line and sinker, the case of the Arroyo's you are defending them like they were innocent.

That vigilance of yours against corruption of the Estradas should be the same vigilance that you should have shwon when the Arroyo's are involved again with this evil gambling game. I see none.

Which made me to believe, its not about principles, its about politics. There is a lack of consistency on your part which diminish your moral high ground on this matter.
we are pertaining to another issue here. well, let's open up a topic regarding the Arroyo's jueteng scandal. I haven't seen such topic here, none that i am aware of. And i assure you, by that time, i will be at your side. this is a topic of the estrada's obvious 'display of affection' towards us cebuanos. too obvious. why now? By far, i consider this topic interesante, one of the most interesting topics ive ever come accross with in this side of the forums, why? it is very, very obvious. because i never expected that a survey-sure-senator would bother dipping his hands into another political puddle miles away from where he should be focusing. "Ejercito, the son of former president Joseph Estrada, is now setting up his political name and target anew, and this time, in Cebu. and that clearly answers the question. why now?" isn't it too early to leave San juan? He's got soooo many other issues in his town but now he is here brandishing a good smile and a good promise. Not that i am not confident that he will not keep his promise, i know it will be materialized. it will be. its a strategy. unless of course the city government would stop him from doing so.

traditional, and how i hate it. people still buy it. projects months before the election is a part of the strategy and could be honorable for the least, when provided to your own people. but for a town mayor who suddenly flew in and gave a presscon making promises and taking 'cudgels' for the people who's been scheduled for relocation is not at all wholesome. he couldve coordinated with the city government.

to them, this is mere opportunity to showcase.

same reaction would go to the arroyos if an arroyo 'town mayor', believed to run for senate, would suddenly take 'cudgels' here in cebu.

san juan for all i know has problems like cebu. thats reason enough why he should stay there. he can run for senate if he wants to. he can help us if he wants to and give a nice guy pose for all we care. if and only if the government of cebu is unable to provide the help and is not even making any steps. the thing is, they are working on it. we understand that we need all the help we can get. but there are a lot of places in the country who needs it more than we do. or he could help relocate those people living along the pasig riverbanks. right?

i dunno my friend. its just the question keeps coming back.

    WHY NOW?

Even if he will win at least I am comforted in my sleep that I done my part not to vote for him... In my stand Mr. Istoryador... I don't despise him at all, I just say that he should stick his nose where it is ought to be... His Help is not very much needed because I believe that our politicians could do better. He has his jurisdiction... At least he has tons of reasons to be occupied with than meddling with the Cebu issue!

Ejercito, a son of ousted president Joseph Estrada and widely believed to be interested in a Senate seat, visited Cebu City yesterday and surprised everyone in a press conference at the Sacred Heart Center by declaring that he will be taking the cudgels for squatters and vendors who may be evicted and relocated in connection with preparations for the summit.

Branding the Arroyo administration as " a government that is only concerned with its image, " Ejercito promised to see what he can do to help by looking into the details of the government's program for the affected residents and see if there is going to be a permanent housing project for them.
