1GB og 2GB ".img" man gud to akong gipanggamit. (using physdiskwrite sa dos).

i already set up 1 sa office pero wala pa na implement.
Nindot jud ang pfsense. Walay ayo ang SOHO Router sa PLDT.

wala pa ko kasuway setting up pfsense on vmware,
my idea lang, maybe this might help.

1. Prepare at least 3 lan cards (ako lang idea)
1 dedicated for pfsense WAN
1 dedicated for pfsense LAN
1 for your common LAN card (shared/bridged with your VMs)

2. burn pfsense.iso OR
mount pfsense cdrom image para maka boot from cd ka on VMWARE.
not sure if supported ba freeBSD sa vmware, if supported man gani, choose freeBSD 7.

3. After booting from cd on VMWARE, normal install, assign WAN interface, assign LAN interface

4. Ang WAN port connect nimo sa imong modem/router (globe, pldt, wifi router etc)
Ang LAN port sa pfsense connect nimo sa switch
Ang LAN port nga shared/bridge sa imong VMware Host connect gihapon sa switch


Ang result ani, mura ka nag simulate og Internet -> Modem -> pfsense router -> switch -> virtual PCs

Not so specific pero murag mao na ako nahunahunaan nga paagi
Not sure pud kay not tested man

try using Endian firewall u can use more than 1 Lancard

elmermedalle: so far nindot man ang endian, almost a year nku gagamit ana diri sa office, nindot iya in terms of web filtering, mac address authentication and blocking some other ports. Ang deperencya lang sa endian and pfsense kay ang pfsense nindot ang load balancing, traffic shaping and captive portal, while ang endian not all module are free, naa man gud mga modules nga nindot unta pero paid versions. Pero so far sa endian almost 1 year nku gagamit with 500+ workstations wala man nuon ko nakita nga problema, not like smoothwall and ip cop nga if moabot na gani 500+ workstations mag cge na ug down tungod sa kadaghan nga users. Mao lang pud na sa ako idea and experience.

di lang ko kabalo unsaon pag limit ang traffic sa youtube hehe!

First pa jud ko kasuway set up og PC firewall and first ang pfsense.
wala pa pud ko kasuway endian. Stable man gud ang pfsense nako

i''m currenty using traffic shaping right now, specifically the Limiter, used this feature to control bandwidth across my network. I have 1Mbps/384Kbps (Down/Up) and 512Kbps/256Kbps limitations on specific IPs in my network.
