    Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)

What is an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)?

An Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), is a requirement under POEA Rules and Regulaitons to help ensure that Filipino overseas workers (OFWs) are properly documented and protected.

Only OFWs are required to get an OEC. In this case, OFWs would include: work permit holders such as domestic helpers, etc. as well as S-pass and E-pass holders. PRs, EPEC holders and OJTs are not required to get OECs.

Used OEC, whether regular or multiple, is a requirement to be submitted to the Department of Tourism to avail travel tax reduction for OFW dependents.

What are the requirements for Issuance of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)?

    *Accomplished application form
*Employment Card, S Pass, Work Permit Card
    *Passport
*Two-way ticket or Itinerary issued by travel agency
*Proof of OWWA valid membership (i.e. official receipt, certificate of coverage); worth S$43.00 renewable every 2 years

How long will it take to process an OEC?

During ordinary days (not peak season) 5 to 10 minutes, provided the documentary requirements are complete.

zip your mouth nalang sir tawn kay dli man diay ka ofw, wa ka kasabot sa gibati namo, nga sayang sayangon ang oras..problema nimu sir u think u know everything..wa nalang diay right mu-air out sa frustration ang isa ka tawo? maskin pa ug 3pm ka muadto as long as it is within work hours, dapat serbisyohan jd ka ug sakto, wa ko kahinumdom kung 8am to 5pm na shift, 1pm dli na pwede mudawat ug transaction...for sure if wala kuhaa ang name sa nagserbisyo, naa pud musulti "why man wala nimu kuhaa ang name?" or "ngano wa man ka mangita sa ilang head?"...hay naku...

dli man diay worth sa imong time, nag unsa pman ka dire? tsk tsk
I'm not here to show off... para nako dili fair ang gibuhat sa TS nga for that matter iyang pa resing-non ang employee kay nalangay lang siya. Ug maminaw lang ta sa side sa TS where is the fairness?

If the POEA has the policy nga no records way OEC then why bash people to resign who are just following the procedure?
