transfer to up diliman?

Has anyone here applied to transfer to UP Diliman this year or past? I applied and nag.wait na lang ko para sa results sa colleges ugma. What's it like to transfer there, and how was the transition to upd life? (assuming ra kaayo ko nga mura'g makapasar )

bro, depende ra gyud na kung unsa ka adventurous. up diliman is a great place ... nindut gyud kaayo ang intellectual atmosphere ... although naa gihapoy mga oplok nga magpaintelektwal intelektwal. in terms of cost of living ... medyo mahal gyud hinuon na siya. i suggest that you stick with with an isaw and kwek kwek diet. para ma lingaw ka ... tambay lang sa acad oval pampalipas gutom ... mabubusog yung mga mata mo for sure. dapat maghanap ka ng boarding house na masikmura mo. yung iba within up campus lang pero dollar o di kayay makaswerte ka ng mabait na landlord and considerate pag wala kang pera ... pero gud luck sa iyo niyan. mahirap kasing maghanap na matinong matitirhan diyan sa loob ng campus. kung sanay ka sa traffic sa cebu ... stick to in campus housing. kung gusto mong tumaas ang resistensya mo sa pollution ... lalo na sa buga ng usok ng mga kotse/bus/tricycle/jeep ... maghanap ka sa labas. usually cheaper ... pero its inversely proportional to distance form skool. mas mura ... mas malayo. mas malapit ... mas mahal. but generally ... mag eenjoy ka. lalo na pag undergrad ... at depende din yan sa course na kukunin mo. sometimes dapat magmatch yung personality mo at yung course mo. =) hope this helps ... at wag kang dumaan sa mga shortcuts pag gabi ... unless insured ka na o di ka tinatablan ng bala at hunting knife. at dapat din matatag ang loob mo pag dating sa mga bagay tulad ng terror teachers at multo.

ikaw depende raman na nimo.. just brace yourself lang. suck it up. and be responsible lol. anyway layo ka sa comfort zone. years ago i took upcat for dilliman and passed but my parents doesnt trust me . trust me that i could stand on my own away from my comfort zone. to make the story short nag up cebu ko. after 2 years dilliman again but still they woudn't trust me lol. anyway after 2 years my professor gave me documents for dilliman pero my parents still woudnt risk me. and i think pare parehas raman ang upd ug upc in may aspects as what my batch mates told me heard it can be really really challenging lol with the environment / teachers/ other people. just be safe and be yourself .

Thanks for the insights elpropesor ug HeartStops! Karung buntag palang nigawas ang results. Pasar man pud sa 3: MBB, Math ug ME, pero di lang ko mudayun. Matabla raman pud diay ang gasto didto (as a whole) ug ang tuition sa Velez, so might as well stick it up for a couple of years here and just have plain good old fun
