Yeah you can try, but take note of the voltages that you dont go too high with it.. how much are you giving it as of now ?

    1.39v ang voltage...

Im not entirely familar with the max 24/7 voltage for that, you might wanna google for it but looking at AMD's page the stock voltages for that goes as low as 1.325 which may translate that 1.425 is the absolute safe 24/7 max.

TS, 2.9 ra ang nakuha with 1.39v? Taasa na kaau sa voltahe.. Basin makaya sa nimo ubsan ang voltahe kay murag gamay ra ang saka.. 2.6 ang stock, ryt?

    OnT:

Ako kay pa dagan lng nko prime for 20-30mins.. If wala error payts na given nga with my daily use, dili sya mo crash nor pakita ug instability signs.. So far, with 24/7 usage, la pa ko ka encounter ng BSOD..

Para kasabot ka brad kay feel man nimo soheto kaayo kas forums ( so says a lot of other members talking about you,not my words. ) na lingaw rakos imong gi post kay 60c kung CPU but 90c kung GPU, nobody said it was wrong or incorrect.

On stock clocks + stock cooling, when you run LinX you dont even get to keep it under 70c, for GPU 90c is perfectly fine for everyday usage but when you up the voltage and clocks 90c will give you some stability issues, 85c MAX should be ideal.

For normal usage it is "normal" for stock speeds to even go above 60c.

If wala ka kasabot sa context sa reply its better to just ask why or keep your mouth shut.

Keep the BS to your self, you have no credible knowledge about overclocking ( no offense ).
Added: 60c is like Intel Coppermine era where 60c is the Tmax and 58c was everyone's goal.

    EDIT:

    Anyway ignoring the trolls,

    @TS

Can you post more details on your processor/motherboard so we can give you a more definitive numbers to work around and get rid of this guesswork, also add in your cooling to the info.

Sakto sad ning info ni jay52969,
I actually run Vantage/3dmark06/3dmark11 CPU tests first when initially testing for stability, I just loop the CPU tests 3x then do a full run on the entire bench then I move to Prime95 blend for just 1-2hrs max, dont wanna degrade the processor that much.
in that case, useless diay ni sila mag butang ug datasheets especially about max temps coz d man d i iconsider long-term effects ani. unsa man diay reason we get a better aftermarket coolers dba to lower the temps? and how low do you want it to be to gain more performance from the cpu or gpu? even phenom II has a max temp rating of 62degC, not that it wont run past that though but i dont need to explain the effects of heat, especially on electronic-circuits. im talking in lay-man's terms here ha aron dali sabton. kapoi kaayo nanag pabilib explain technical terms and magpabilib lang sa sarili...

When your into overclocking, longevity of the chip is not the primary concern, if you want your processor to live its 10-15year rated life span then dont even think about overclocking. Conservative overclocks can still make your hardware last 5-6yrs.

Last time I checked, this thread was about overclocking and not how to let my processor live for 15yrs.

I dont see anyone debating about not getting better coolers or telling you that your 60c claim is incorrect, I just said it cracks me up.. actually the 90c GPU is the funny part ( I didnt know you were THAT dense ) I never debated about your 60c because the TS didnt post what his processor was at that time, if the did post a second generation i7 or a kents then 62c is utter rubbish, simply put you you got a lucky guess that the TS is using AMD.

Heat with in acceptable levels will never prematurely kill a processor, its the added voltage that severely accelerates electro-migration.

No need to be shy about all the technicalities you know, all that "engineering" stuff that your so good at, we already know that you know it all.

In short bai, im not saying that your wrong.

Basin mao pasad iyang na try, if his stock VID is 1.325 then 1.390 is that high pero kung 1.350 siya then dli pa kaayo ana ka taas, just watch the temps.

What processor are you using? Sa intel at 97c mo thermal throttle at 103c thermal shutdown na.

An AMD Phenom II x2 550BE unlocked to Quad core. Must be because of the unlocking state or because of the motherboard that's why it shut downs. Never knew that Gigabyte mobo could be this "arte"...
