Just a cautionary reminder. People are visual creatures. And as such, pag makakita gani ug picture, it's mostly the picture that they will react to. Reminder lang nga the picture posted above is just an artist's rendition of what the place might be like--we have absolutely NO idea what that planet is like, considering that our best telescopes cannot resolve individual planetary surfaces of exoplanets. In fact, all of the methods we're currently using are indirect methods (i.e. wobble-checks, brightness variation checks etc.). Again, wala pa'y telescope in existence powerful enough to resolve exoplanetary surfaces. Do keep that in mind before imagining to go to a place that you have absolutely no idea what the surface conditions will be like.

so for a human being to travel there, how long would it be? ayaw lang nang light years kay technically it's the speed of light..

or can an expert please help.. naglisod ko sabot.. i did research the "light years" but... grrrr...

agree with rods.. i was just wondering how can they say its an earth like planet when they havent seen it.. haka haka lng? ehehe what if life exist there itll be totally different to ours dba.. ive heared somewhere they are building a telescope miles deep through the ground? i think they are building it now.. hmmm better research more

Google the speed of the Voyager and Pioneer Spacecrafts.

Get the V of our fastest probes and then divide the distance to that planet with that V. The result is the number of years you need to reach that planet.
