1. How do you define success?
For me success is when you feel this feeling that you have done well! It is not about how much you have earned or how much imung na kikik but knowing the satisfaction you have given a person, for me mao na ang successful ka or success! heheh

2. Where do you buy your equipments?
Uhm, as of the moment, NO OWN DENTAL CLINIC yet! Hehhe Unfortunately, I am still working for someone right now with gamay ra nga sweldo pero okay nalang for experience sake! Wala say makabayad uy sa relationship you get with patients who trust you and look for you or refer you to their friends or relatives na IKAW gyud ang pangitaun!

3. By any chance do you know where to find a cautery machine?

Why? Do you need one? I can hook you up with one of my friends in CHINA direct from the factory or supplier! hehehe but if here sa pinas, I guess you would have to go sa mga medical supplies store. I bet they have that there or they know where you can get one!

4. Are you interested by any chance in doing dental missions?
Yup sure why not coconut! hehehe Pero as of the moment, I cannot leave my job just to do that. Cguro if I already have my own clinic and I am my own boss, then yes I would go with you guys for that. I am even planning to conduct one near our place since ang mga tao from the pier have been relocated near our area so imagina unsa nana sila ka daghan mga squatters there.

Grabeh kaayo uy! Kini akong suliran gyud kaayo! Hahhaha Bitaw uy, doctor's or lawyers are just people like US mere mortals or ordinary men. What hurts you could hurt them too and what makes you laugh could make them laugh too. Thesame thing with everyone, my advice always is to BE YOURSELF! No point in trying too hard to turn them on or make a crazy person out of yourself just to get their attention. I guess if lalake ka and you wanna make ligaw to that person na DOCTOR or something, then do something extra ordinary that would somehow fit to her character. If mahilig sya ug RED ROSES, then cge go sago! Basta ang pinaka importante is you take note of little details about the person and tell her that. That would really make a girl swoon over you kay wala man siya nimo ge take for granted and that would spell out to her na important gyud siya para nimo in your life.

1. Is it true that flouride in toothpase has side effects ?

A quote from “Fluoride the Aging Factor” on page 14 “A 14oz tube of toothpaste, theoretically at least, contains enough fluoride to kill a small child – Proctor & Gamble.
Chief chemist at the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Dean Burk, when confronted with the scientific data regarding fluoride stated before congress: “In point of fact, fluoride causes more human cancer death, and causes it faster than any other chemical”. Congressional record 21 July 1976.

In LARGE DOSES, yes it could kill. But if the fluoride in water which I have discussed earlier, it is in 1 PARTS PER MILLION. In other words, the amount of sodium fluoride (NaF) required to result in acute poisoning causing fatality was 5 to 10 grams (NaF is 45% fluoride ion).

Fluoride Toxicity Issues

Mao btaw na nga when you brush your teeth, put only a pea size toothpaste and NOT the ones in the advertisements where the entire head of the toothbrush has toothpaste from front to back. Another thing is with children, if possible only a little gyud ebutang kay children usually just end up EATING it! It does not make much of an effect on their TEMPORARY TEETH in terms of damage but it does damage in the PERMANENT TEETH.

2. What is the best way to take care our teeth, toothpaste or healthy diet?

Both actually! And always practice GOOD HYGIENE! If naay daot nga ngipon na dunot na gyud kaayo, ipa ibot gyud dayun na or else mgka takod2x gyud na!

3. Aside from using flouride what are other ways to whiten our teeth?

Here is a tip for a cheap tooth whitening which you can get just from your common household items.

MIX THE FOLLOWING:
Iodized salt and baking soda.

When you brush your teeth, put toothpaste on your toothbrush then dip it in the mixture of salt and baking soda! Brush your teeth with that and voila, mura pakag gikan ge cleaningan sa ka limpyu sa feeling nimo after you brush with this! hehehe

DOC here are my questions

1. 3 of my wisdom tooth are impacted. and 2 sa lower is growing or moving horizontally which has become painful. what's the best approach with this scenario? doc said if she will remove the wisdom tooth he will also remove the other molars.

WHAT?!? Hehhehe which OTHER MOLARS e remove niya? Ang 2nd molars? No uy! Hehhee grabeh sad! usa ra gani ni cause ug pain dayun ibtun na hinuon ug apil ang healthy. Pero that is just me ha, nag assume ra sad ko na normal imung 2nd molars. And wala man sad ko kakita sa situation sa imung mouth if unsa ba pero usually, if horizontal impaction, igo ra take off the covering bone (SEE THE BLUE PART) and e slice ang teeth at the neck area. After that if madala ra, then e elevate ang root at the base para mu out sa socket and then voila, humana. Hehhe

Pero if dili na healthy ang tupad na 2md molars, then I guess yes okay ra ang approach sa dentist nimo! Easier pa kay wala naman ang 2nd molar nga maoy usual na e take care sa dentist na dili ma unsa during the process.

2. ive been wearing retainers for weeks.the pain when my dentist placed this was really traumatic. when is the right time para pahugtan ni? mas sakit man daw.

First of all, why are you wearing retainers? Have you had braces before wearing that? Because as far as I know, retainers are used by ORTHO patients or those who have finished their ORTHO treatment. This is used to RETAIN or to MAINTAIN the normal after shape na of the entire dentition. If gepa wear lang ka for no reason at all, then I suggest you take it out. Basin sad wear ra ka ana pa char char lang! Hehheh

As for the pahugtan part, nag libog ko ngano? Hehehhe If unsay call sa dentist nimo, mao nalang sunda dear kay dili sad ko ka buot2x then wala gyud ko kahibaw sa imung situation! hehhe

3. for ortho repairs like na stain ang old permanent pasta. pila inyo offer?

Ortho repairs? Libog ko. Heheheh if normal repairs lang for old permanent pasta nga na stained, PHP 500 ra per tooth per surface.

4. pila pud whitening ninyo? and tinuod mas mo sensitive ang teeth?
(follow up question nalang ang ika 5. oist educational akong questions ha. para pud makapromote ka or something ba) haha

Whitening here in the clinic which lasts for 1 hour is PHP 25k na ZOOM 2 teeth whitening. Naa na sa old posts nako here. But we have the WHITE LIGHT na tag PHP 8k ra but if Istoryan, just PM me so I can give you a discount. I also accept post dated checks for that.

As for the SENSITIVITY PART, yes it makes your teeth sensitive pero okay ra man kaya ra man. Pwede ra man sad ka gamit anang mga pro sensitive toothpastes right now which help with tooth sensitivity. Pero between the 2, ZOOM2 and WHITE LIGHT, mas grabeh daw ug tooth sensitivity sa ZOOM 2 compared to WHITE LIGHT.

[COLOR=Purple]For me ha, dapat ang STAIN REMOVAL is apil nana siya sa ORAL PROPHYLAXIS! Pero if grabeh na gyud ang stain, well basin mao na nga naay additional fee especially when the stains are grabeh na gyud kaayo which needs to be grounded down na gyud.

Oral prophylaxis actually is simply put, cleaning ra sa teeth and its surrounding areas around the teeth and gum line. Another version of this is DEEP SCALING and ROOT PLANING which is usually done for periodontal patients where grabeh na gyud ang GUM RECESSION like this one...

^This is a picture of a NORMAL TOOTH with NORMAL surrounding structures. If your GUMS around it are SWOLLEN, RED and have already made your teeth look LONG, then you somehow have a GUM PROBLEM and need oral attention. Sometimes, if left UNTREATED, it could destroy underlying BONE and TISSUE thereby resulting in POCKETING. If your GUMS make a POCKET, that is an area that could accumulate MORE PLAQUE or FOOD DEBRIS which later on would worsen your situation and result in damage of tooth by caries, halitosis and avulsion of tooth. Avulsion means ma tangtang nalang siya ug kalit imung ngipon kay wala na nag gunit ug tarung ang bone sa teeth kay grabeh na ang damage underneath sa teeth.

THESE ONES HERE, See how ELONGATED the tooth are already? That because of plaque accumulation underneath the gum area which need to be removed.

DMD nga ngipon, yes pero dmd na batasan wala sad! ehhhehe The story was this. If a tooth is in pain and you want it OUT, we cannot take it out if it is in pain and YOU are in pain kay useless, ang anesthesia cannot penetrate your teeth and surrounding tissues para wala kay ma feel. Somehow, ang patient INSISTED na iya gyud ipa ibot kay sakit na gyud daw kaayo. So okay cge fine, inject! Then later on, wala pa gani nako ge ibot, ako palang gani ge elevate para ma lu-ag siya from the socket, mag cge naman syagit2x ang patient sa ka sakit! And so I told her, you see what I mean?

If ani na case, I usually let the patient go home and take some antibiotics for a week or so. If within 3 days dili na kaayo sakit, then okay she can come back for extraction para sad maka tipid sa antibiotics. But if not, then 1 week gyud before we pull the tooth out.

And besides, kinsa man mag suffer ana for not coming in regularly, diba IKAW ra man sad na patient? Mao na, dapat schedule, schedule gyud, ari gyud mo dapat! ehhehe

Hehehhe you better talk to ur dentist first ngano you were charged for that before you complain! But if your stains we're like the ones above and your calcular deposits and plaques were like the grabeeh sa first picture, then sakto ra na nga charges kay ang base charge for ORAL PROPHYLAXIS namo here is PHP 500 sa dili ra kaayo like for routine ra like anang 0 to 1 scale sa picture #1. Pero if scale 2 above na, then mgka anam ug ka dako like 1k to 1.5k depending on ur dentist's rate! ehhehe
