before, ni plano ko ug study sa Davao bcoz im from CDO but tungod sa mga news, balita balita i was hesitant - dont get me wrong ha but this is my PERSONAL experience... for so long nko na stay sa CDO and Cebu i should say makita nako ang peace and order dri sa imo gi ingun na peace and order sa Davao, naa bay differences ana nila?

Mao lagi murag wala pa ka kaadto sa Davao no? I've not been to Cebu nor to CDO so I can't really say..I've been to Manila..Didto hadlok ang mga tao sa snatcher tinuod jud na..diri hadlok ang mga snatcher sa mga tao tinuod jud na pud..Asa mas duol ang Cebu or CDO in terms ana? Sa Davao or sa Manila? mao nay tubag..

Tungod lang sa balita balita mao wala ka ng skwela diri sa Davao? Ah well problema na na nimo...

Daghan pud mo words n dili ginagamit diri like mercado, eskina, mabdos, ngsabak, dyutay, apohan, etc.. very few Dabawenyos understand these words, especially the new generation..I learned them from listening to Cebuano am radio dramas when I was young.

Davao is focusing on BPO din naman diba? i think theyre opening an IT place din sa Davao. it's like they wanted to be one of the BPO destinations sa Pinas. it doesnt follow that if the country is a BPO destination POOR na agad, i believe daghan requirements why ni excel ang pinas ana, has less expensive operational and labor costs, as well as an English-speaking workforce, hardworking, etc etc etc... Canada is one of the BPO destinations, does it mean poor ang Canada?

oh by the way, its kind of ironic that you always complain about call centers when you are an agent. we have a saying - "If you don't like what you have been getting, just change what you have been doing!"

Yes I will. Not so soon but I will..I won't be a call center agent forever. I want to be a teacher. I just don't think I know enough to be one for now. But I will.

Cebu maybe has lot of minor crimes but to think, that's an outcome of being progressive. As many people will flock to Cebu, there will be an increase of petty crimes. Cebu city is a 3m population compared to Davao for 1m+. that's a big disparity. its no wonder that the police cant policed the city for 24 hours everyday with the country lacks of police and financial support.

anyway, as regard to the street children's and families living in the street. for what i know, those families and children's are mostly not from Cebu. those are families in the other parts of the Philippines looking for greener pasture in Cebu and end up being beggars. i remember before they were sent to their respective provinces and was given financial support but they end up coming back to Cebu.

hmm. as to being proud as an BPO hub in the Philippines excluding Manila, that is something to be proud of, why the heck we shouldn't proud of it where infact, its a big boost to the city and also for the country. it's a big help for the Cebuano's knowing that their income to spend is higher than before and in return that will create more developments to Cebu.

Davaobred, i wouldnt suprise you being proud of Davao if they will have IT hubs, as what i know theyre trying to have one. hmm.


anyway, ill rest my case here. theres nothing much to say since the question is being direct and to answer it directly, i would say Cebu, not just because im a cebuano but Cebu is everything and unique, the great music the food the beaches the traditions and the people. its something that you will always look in Cebu. like i said, it depends on your preferences. Davao is a good city too.

Kung daghan petty criminals sa Cebu karon..wala ra nay kumingking sa mga criminals diri sa Davao sauna..Dili lng petty kundi BIG TIME criminals jud naa diri sauna..Pero asa na cla ron?..naa sa langit.

Yes it's true Metro Cebu's population of 3m may pose greater challenges than Davao City's 1.5m, But how many mayors do you have ba? ang dami diba? Davao City has only one moving mountains and oceans to give the best for the 1.5m+ Dabawenyos. Ang laki laki p ng Davao so mas mahirap mamaintain ang peace and order. Pero kinaya ng mayor namin. Who carries the greater burden?
