who told you nga gusto ang mga Cebuanos sa Sugbuak? i am a voter sa second district and i am against Sugbuak. the opposition for Sugbuak is overwhelming and if youre doubtful of that, adtoa si Cardinal Vidal. the Archdiocese conducted a survey through the parishes and the answer was an overwhelming NO.

for all we know, all these jerks who are supporting SUBUAK are non-Cebuanos at all. they are all impostors. they take pride with their arguments to be rational and non-sentimental but look at their ever "STUPID" arguments, they want Cebuanos to be divided. none of these things could have happened not after the birth of all these divisive bills proposed by these crocs. where are the COUNTRYSIDE DEVELOPMENT FUND or better yet known as "PORK BARREL" go? did it really went back to the masses thru developmental projects? or did it make a detour to...... i have rounded up Cebu from the tip of Northern Cebu down to South taking the route along national road and look at the roads under the district of these lobbying legislators and especially the lateral roads going to mountain barangays, you just can't imagine how rough are the roads and the inconvenience it brings especially to people living in mountain barangays. where did the CDF goes? more equipped district hospitals? water system? infrastructure projects? all i know is that these legislators authoring these bills are doing one and the same thing: LIP SERVICE.... 2007 election is fast approaching. they want to take a good grip of their power within their balliwicks. why prioritizing all these bills wherein they should have been prioritizing SOCIAL SERVICES to their constituents? there are far more important things to be done now for their constituents rather than these bills... it just show how all these jerks posing to be of high intellect and rational how dumb and stupid they are in seeing the real score of these bills... LONG LIVE UNITED CEBU!!!!

and what of those lawmakers nga makig-away para lang mabuak ang cebu? apparently, they are not from cebu, hence they envy cebu's progress. and the only way to snatch the limelight is to support the bill. coz if the division pushes through, it would only mean another healthy passbook. die-hard kaau to work this bill up when they are not even cebuanos. sakto si cuenco, let them come here and tell that to the people. mabunalan gyud sila ug dos por dos.

anyways, for this side of the thread, @istoryador is entitled to his raves and rants since he is always the opposition. that makes this thread healthy, let us not go around and belittle where he came from. obviously, the arguments are getting personal.

Let us look beyond imputing malice on the part of these legislators who propose Sugbuak. For all we know they are really motivated by good intentions.

I think you just said it. How could you rationalize being hungry for power, fielding their sons and daughters so that they could win, breaking up cebu so that they have a much smaller area to govern with being motivated by good intensions? This is silly.

The same thing, i hate political dynasties - but maybe perhaps with the exception of Gwen, since see that she is sencerly performing her duties, and you can quantify how well she is performing as a governor. The only sad fact is why she wasn't able to reconcile with the opposition. But with Martinez? - I haven't seen any improvement to my relative's district since she took oath, like mother like son, Bogo is the same like it was 5 years ago. But then again, this is democracy, we let everyone get a chance, from the son of a politician to the common man.

If they're concerned about improving their districts, then they should have already done it. They were in power in those districts for already a number of years (3 terms), they already have a lot of chances, yet I cannot even quantify how much improvement they made to these districts since they took oath.

My greatest concern is why they have to break Cebu apart to satisfy their political interest? Could these officials just work together for development? Nganong buak-buakon man gyud? Dili ba diay pwede nga mag hi-usa sila to promote Cebu? Dili ba diay ANGAY ANG MAGTINABANGAY KAYSA MAG IDYA-IDYA? There's not enough reasons to break Cebu apart, Cebu is our HERITAGE, there's soo much more to its history of being whole than to divide it for a few economic reasons and worse for personal and political interest of the few.

When you say its political dynasty, do not make excuses. YOu are biased for Gwen. What you are saying is only a perception. The same thing you said about the Martinezes which is only a perception.
