best law school in cebu??

naa ra na sa estudyante bro.... daghan mu ingon san carlos is the best but then again, if memory serves me right only UV has has produced the first justice of the supreme court which graduated from a law school based in cebu.... so naa ra gyud na sa student bai... =)

kung sa pag tuon lang, depende gyud sa student. but wid regards sa syllabus, dako factor ang imo professors. some would give lots of cases to read para maba.id gyud ka, naa pud uban based lang textbook so more on theory rather application.

judging by the results released today, USC has the edge.

Naa na sa school gihapon. Here's how i think of it.
Good student + bad school = fair
Good student + good school = better
Or something like that... basta ang thought is lets say same sila naning, same sila ug kabrighton but ang isa niskwela ug way klaro na school, di maayu ang professors, bati ug facilities... then ang isa didtu sa school na nindot ug facilities, maayu ang professors... Then diba much better jud ang outcome.

yup agree ko ani.... but naa uban professors na even without giving you tons of case to digest, the way they explain the law, and using only one jurisprudence, mas maka sabot ug dali ma absorb ang subject.... again naa ra gyud na sa student... CONGRATS to the new batch of lawyers, stay true to your oath.........

The question of which law school is the best is very subjective. More often than not, a student of a certain school would say his school is the best. In other words, this argument is very futile.

Honestly, I am of the opinion that it is not the school that makes the man. Yes, the profs matter, the teaching style matters, the school facilities matter, but in the end, the most important thing that far outweighs all those things is this: if you DO NOT STUDY, you will end up being out of that school faster than you can say "Civil Code". All schools study the same law, the same cases. It's really how hard you study, how bad you want to be a lawyer.

BUT, if you want an opinion from someone who is not studying in Cebu, then go to USC. Not to belittle the other Cebu law schools, but USC is up there in the hierarchy. They are the most established, they have produced a long list of bar topnotchers, their yearly passing rate is always good (not necessarily high, but good). Time will tell if this will keep up, especially since UC has exerted a lot of effort into whipping their law school into the best shape possible. But right now, San Carlos gyud.
