coffee alamid is fermented on the civet's digestive system and extracted as whole beans.. that's why it's so expensive coz it is taken directly from the wilds..

    this is no ordinary cat..

    here's a picture of a civet:

Default Local supplier of coffee beans?

    Hey all...
Can anyone recommed a local store that sells fresh arabica coffee beans?
The beans do not have to be local, of course.
GJ's and Starbucks beans are pretty good, but I'm looking for even fresher ones.

Wow, glad to find fellow coffee addicts so soon. Someone told me about Davao beans once...they're supposedly comparable to Columbian. So I'm guessing these must be arabica... Anyone know about this?

Hmm...this would've helped me a year ago... I was living and working in Makati too, but I wasn't hooked on coffee then. But thanks!

I'm sold. I'll try those next. Right now I'm hooked on the Creme Brulee flavored coffee (plus, I heard it's John Hall's favorite). hehe..

Thanks girls. Here's to endless cups of coffee bliss.
