    Default MS ACCESS Multiple User

    Good Day to all.

I need help sa MS Access Programming. Unsa-on sya para ma multiple user? Say for example...sa data entry nga form, tulo kabook ang mogamit? Kay sa ako experience, pag na open na sya sa usa ka user, then ang next user mo open sa the same form...naay mo pop-up nga "it hasbeen use by another user".

    Thanks daan sa inyo help.

MsAccess is already default to multi-user.
Adding new records will not give errors.
But editing the same record will give you a lock error though.

If you want really to have a high reliability multi-user access database, you could switch to an SQL server that supports transactions.
You could try MySQL but using InnoDB format for it supports transactions. MyISAM does not but a bit faster on queries.

Yes you could link tables using ODBC. Add an odbc entry in cp/admin/odbc manager.

You could make a query on the "queries tab" using the linked tables in Access.
But I advise to use pass-through query type only. This is much faster and you could use your native SQL server commands/functions on it.
