i think free internet access if your phone or laptop is ready for wifi.. i really dont know whats the definition of wifi but i think its related with wireless internet? not sure though

me, myself dont have any gadgets that is wifi capable... but one of my friends got n95 then it is a wifi ready if thats the right term for it then we got to the hotspot thats what they call it he can browse the internet for free on that crtain area ..it depends on the establishment if its free or not.. but some offer free just dont know the exact place.. i dont know if im explaining it correctly heheheh..

wifi zone = defines an area where there is continuous Wifi signal or wireless lan signal. mao ni ang mga areas na makagamit ka sa wlan capability sa imung mga gadgets na wifi capable. you use this signal to go online.

WIFI stands for Wireless Fidelity bai. here's a simpler explanation...

let's say you're in BO'S COFFEE ayala (which is obviously a WIFI area ky naa nakabutang sa gawas). this means if you are within ani nga area or close to this area, pwede ka maka browse sa internet using any device nga WIFI capable (ex. Nokia E90, some TREO devices, SE P1i, etc.), usually ang naka indicate ani sa phone settings ky WLAN. mura ni siya ug bluetooth nga kinanglan nimo iactivate if ganahan ka mu connect sa internet using WIFI.

but in the case of BO's coffee murag kinanglan ka mubayad sa counter para maka access sa ila WIFI (not sure lang). some WIFI places magpabayad, some don't. kato magpabayad usually naay username ug password nga ila ihatag sa imoha aron ka maka access sa ila WIFI. most of the time, kung mo login ka sa www.google.com or any site nya wala pakay username ug password, mu prompt to siya ang login screen. pero if free ra ang WIFI use for that particular place, ditso raka ON sa imo WIFI sa imo device nya browse dayon internet.
