    Default Slow Growing Pup

I have a 5 month old golden retriever and she's small with regard to her age. I did a little research and golden retrievers on this certain age usually weighs in between 35 to 40 lbs. My golden ret is just about 22 lbs as of last December 9, 2007. She completed all the vaccinations already on schedule. 2 5-in-1 and 1 7-in-1 vacinne. I feed her Eukanoba for puppies and I give her Nupro Gold as her food supplement. She was dewormed on schedule. No irregularities with regard to her form. Sometimes he eats a lot sometimes close to not at all.

    What could be the issue?

BTW, I already brought her to a clinic for a checkup but as per vet, there's no issue with the dog. I not really confident about her findings. I will be getting a second opinion soon.

Tanx for reading my post. Have a great day!

Kikis, give her time to mature. Dogs mature and stop growing at the age of 2yrs. If you're feeding her with the right kind of food and updated deworming, then there's no need to worry. Look at the sire and dam, most likely she'll end up just like her mom and dad.

Are you showing this pup in dog shows? If not, then there is no concern about his size. Just give her all the care she needs.

    Goodluck
