90 nanometer vs 65 nanometer
ug kanang pros and cons...
ako plan paliton na processor kay AMD athlon 64 X2 4800+ 65nm unta.
pero naa kuy nabasahan ba mas pas2x pa daw ang kay AMD athlon 64 X2 4400+ 90nm
unsa mn d.i na xa?

It denotes the transistor sizes there are no cons in getting the 65nm over the 90nm. In fact the 65nm may perform better, run cooler, consume lesser energy and overclock better..
Also compare the stock clockspeed of both models..
cool. i'll take your advice. ^_^ thanks earlz.
OT:
about the Inno3d I-Chill Video card? does it create coolness or something like that?
and is it only the video card it's cooling?
Regarding the Inno3d I-Chill, its a marketing name for Inno3d's in-house designed "stock" cooler for certain videocard models.
It cools the videocard a lot better than the nvidia stock fan, and yes its for the videocard ONLY
negligible ang performance difference sa 65nm brisbane kesa sa 90nm windsor bro..although mas dako og cache ang windsor gamay ra kau difference makita at the same clock speeds.
as for i-chill, advisable na cya na vcard if plano nimo i-overclock, sometimes pre-overclocked sad cya daan..if not then go for the cheaper versions. check the clock speeds anang i-chill series if pareho ba cya sa stock settings sa nvidia.
What I've been able to compare is.... mas lower ang cpu temps sa 65nm brisbane compared sa equivalent 90nm windsor.
thanks.. 10 days nalng. new PC na. oh yeah..Originally Posted by Der FüHRER

so kung 65nm. low CPU temp pero hinay2x gamay ang speed? opposite sad sa 90nm?Originally Posted by vipvip68
SALAMAT KAAYO MGA MASTERS!! ^_^
From what I've read initial reports showed na mas taas ang latency sa 65nm compared sa 90nm... pero in real world use... I dont think ma notice ang difference... I would say better ang 65nm since mas bugnaw ang cpu temps.. as to the overclock potential... logic would suggest nga the lower the temp, the more room for overclocking pero the 90nm windsors have been good overclockers also... its hard to generalize that 65nm equals better overclocking...
I would suggest to the threadstarter to look for the Athlon X2 5000+ Black Edition... if you can find one at around 6-7k... mao gyud ni imong kailangan if u want maximum performance / overclock potential sa current Athlon X2 processors.
