Good day mga Istoryans.
Can anyone recommend a repair shop that knows how to handle Xperia Z3+ (also known as Z4)? I tried Tech Doctor sa Countrymall, pero the technician there was only willing to inspect the internal battery. I asked him about the phone's CPU, and he said the Z3+ has no CPU, even though I've seen for myself that it does have a CPU because I watched a video of the unit being taken apart by iFixIt. Obviously, nawad-an ko ug salig kay murag dili cya familiar sa Z3+.
The problem with my Z3+ is when it reaches a certain temp (like when watching YouTube videos, browsing for a long time, or gaming), it turns off. It's warm to the touch, di man ingun sad nga maka-paso. I have to let it rest for around 5-10 minutes before I can turn it on again.
There's also an issue with the battery: I need to have it plugged in to the charger all the time, especially if on ang WiFi or data or if I game, otherwise it'll turn itself off regardless of the battery percentage -- even if it's at 94% it'll turn itself off if it's not plugged in to the charger. The battery seems to charge normally, as in if I charge it starting at 34%, it'll go to 35, 36, 37, until it finally reaches 100% at even intervals.
Apparently, overheating is a common issue with the earlier Xperia phones, especially the Z3+ (Z4) due to Snapdragon 810. I saw a "fix" online where people applied thermal paste to the CPU. I'm looking for someone who can do this. I'm sure the battery also needs replacement.
I don't want to give up the phone kay sayang. Compared to current models at the same price-point, the Z3+ has great specs. Aside from the issues above, the performance is great and everything feels smooth.
Please, if anyone knows of a repair shop that can handle the Z3+, or even if it's just a freelancing phone technician basta familiar lang sa Z3+, please let me know.
Thank you!
