Default Promising BPO career or home based work

I don't usually do this on online forums, but pila na ka adlaw gikutaw akong utok aning akong kakuli.an. I need some advice, guys.

I am currently assigned to a non-agent position and have been employed with my current company close to a year but I have been in the BPO game for a quiet some time now. Medyo challenging ang account but overall, I am happy and content. Recently a friend of mine referred me for a home based virtual assistant job. What attracted me to it was the ability to virtually work from home or anywhere as long as there is a stable internet connection (it's mostly emails and text messages, menos ang calls). Also, competitive kaau ang offer. They're offering me a slightly higher pay. Once I pass the probationary period which is 6 months, I'll be earning 50% more on top of what I'm earning now. So I hastily tendered a 30 day notice to my manager, but at the back of my mind ga urong-sulong ko. I'm happy with my job right now; the pay is good, there's the added benefits but as far as salary increases go you would have to be appraised annually. But then again the thought of working from home which affords me the luxury of being able to take care of my family and earn more is certainly very enticing.

My 30 day notice is almost up. Please help me decide.

Sometimes taking risk is good. Make sure you know what you are into. For your case, consider all the factors by comparing your existing company to the new one. Salary, benefits, convenience, job security, and many others.

Also think of the long term possibililities and the stability of whatever opportunity you are ver much confused of.

I’ve had my share on the risk taking. 10 years ago i was happy to move out from a very big company to join a much bigger one. Then 3 years ago, i was excited to leave that big company to join a better one as well. Unfortunately, i reallized lately that it was a wrong of the decision i made 3 years back although i was harvesting a good pay for the last 3 years. I forgot to consider the long term.

Think hard, choose wisely, and consider what is best for you so as to avoid the same regrets I have.

    Kaya na nimo.
