    Default Senior Windows Escalation Engineer


    We are looking for a full time Senior Windows Escalation Engineer for our Australian IT firm.
    You will be working directly with the CEO and a close knit team of passionate technology specialists in our Cebu Office. You will be routinely interacting with the Australian service team.

    I Know IT specialises in technology solutions for Australian businesses and offshore companies conducting business in the Philippines and Australia. I Know IT is not a BPO. The team work closely together to service and respond to customer’s needs running small and medium sized networks.

    Your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Provide escalation support to level 1 and 2 engineers.
    • Take responsibility for and resolve Level 2 and 3 technical issues which include both Microsoft related and network/internet related issues.
    • Provide technical guidance to junior staff
    • Assist with projects and cloud migrations (Office 365 and others)
    • Troubleshoot system problems such as mail delivery issues, routing issues, server issues, internal network issues
    • Build scalable process within our organization
    • Active Directory modification and resolution of issues
    • Responding to and resolving issues raised by our monitoring system.
    • Logically following a troubleshooting process and initiating a resolution using online resources.
    • Installing, configuring and Troubleshooting third party application issues

    Skills and Experience

    • Strong verbal communication, preferably experience working with Australian or British companies
    • Highly professional written communication – exceptional understanding of the English language
    • Experience in a Business to Business (B2B) technology role
    • Microsoft Certification MCSA 2008 or above
    • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology
    • Experience with Cloud i.e. Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, Amazon Web Services
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to adapt to a broad range of issues and challenges
    • 5+ years’ experience in a helpdesk environment with your most recent role(s) as a 3rd level escalation technician
    • Close proximity to GAGFA, Cebu
    • Expert level understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2008+, VMWare, HyperV, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Desktop environments i.e. Windows 7 and 8
    • Autonomous, flexibile and self motivated
    • Positive and energetic

    Full time role 8am-5pm Australian Daylight Savings Time (currently 5am-2pm Cebu until 2nd April 2015, then 6am-3pm until first Sunday in October 2015)
