Yeah i know, quad core prices will go down in a month or two but is it really worth it?
will you spend 15K+ (i think, when quads get to that range) and replace your old whimpy dual-core or get an ultra High-End Geforce 8800 instead? =)

Gamers? The only game I know of if I'm not mistaken that takes advantage of quad core is Alan Wake. It'll be some time before software catches up with the advances in hardware.
I'd stay off quad core and get a GeForce 8800 GTX instead.![]()

Yeah I'd rather buy a quad core CPU and buy a geforce 8600...
for games, i'd say go with a high end GPU than a quad-core CPU...
i also agree... most games we have now can be handled by current processors without any problems... they are just GPU extensive. therefore, getting a good video card is more reasonable.![]()
bro, para nako
midrangre proc + hi-end gpu is faster in games than
hi-end proc + midrange gpu
tag-pila diay na ang 8800? naay lista of graphic cards prices sa cebu?
make sense, so quad cores are not attractive at all.
even PS3 CPU has only 1 general purpose unit w/ 8 SPEs and a Geforce7 GPU
so i think even a single core CPU and a 128-stream unit 8800 will just do the Job
future games will offload the CPU from physics calculation in favor of the faster GPU capabilities. so we need more PCIexpress lanes for this =)
for gamers high end GPU, midrange CPU,
But for over all performance, business machine, and a gaming maching..... hi-end CPU midrange GPU...( mean mid range like 8600gt)
to all: please dont answer both kai ang thread Quad-core CPU Or High-end GPU
depende nalang jud ni sa User kong asa iya..... depende sa iya type buhaton sa iya pc.
