from IDE to SATA2... why mas dugay nanuon mag load and SATA2 sa windows startup?

good day istoryans. at first i had an IDE 80gig seagate 7200rpm hardisk....

my rig is c2d e6300
msi-p965neo-f
2gig geil ddr2 800
320mb 8800gts

if mag load ang windows, mga 3 and a half times ra mudalagan ang katong blue thing.. so ok ra cya ka paspas mag load.

karon, ni change to to a SATA2 160gig seagate 8mb cache 7200rpm... ang nahitabo kay imbes nga 3.5 times ra mudalagan ang blue thing, ika 10 times naman nuon, so mas dugay nanuon cya.

nganu man mas dugay nanuon mag load ning SATA2 nako kaysa IDE?

It doesnt sound right because i have another pc nga p4 3ghz with 1gig ram with 40gig IDE hdd unya 6times mudalagan ra ang blue thing while windows loading. mas paspas nanuon diay mu load ako p4 kaysa c2d. it doesnt sound right. what could be the problem?

bro preha man ta mobo ug Hardisk exactly the same preha pod ta e6300, we can talk if ever e add ko sa imo ym jojo_lun1119.....ok
ok ra man time sa loading sa akoa, although naay post ang blue pero mo continue ra dayun.....

so far diri rapud sa loading with the blue thing running from left to right ang problema nako. pero pagsulod nako sa windows desktop, paspas na and no waiting. and everything else runs fast too.

i also found out nga pag benchmark nako using 3dmark03(old na ni), ni increase ug 2,000 points ako score compared to using IDE.
with IDE 25,816 points
with SATA2 27,880 points

@whoopz and baijo: OT lang ni gmay mga bro...for comparison purposes lang, what are the temperature ratings on your harddisks at idle and load?? gnahan lang unta nako icompare sa ako samsung SATA2 160gb...hehe...mas bugnaw mn gd daw ang samsung hdd compared sa seagate...just wanted to know if its still true now...

bro, basin it takes longer to load the SATA2 driver. kay kanang naay blue thing na inyo giingon, naginstall na ang OS sa drivers. basin nya mga 2 seconds longer niya maoptimize the driver sa SATA2 for better performance during inside windows environment. i think that is not a big thing though.

spookey you may be right bitaw kana blue ga load na sa drivers, i mean all drivers, mao cguro no,...ken..about sa ako temp kay 44C, dont know with whoopz pila kaha pod iya temp sa HD

bai kennruss, ako a kay 38-39C idle......44-47C load...mao na ang temp sa ako....

@baijo, low ralagi ako temps sa hdd nako. ako idle kay 34 then ang load ky 39. ako gamit pag detect ky pcwizard 2007.
