Comelec announces candidacy filing dates
THE Commission on Elections has determined the dates when candidates for senatorial and local positions may file their certificates of candidacies for next year’s elections.
Senatorial aspirants and party-list candidates may file from Jan. 15 to Feb. 12. Those seeking local positions may file from Jan. 15 to March 29.
Jan. 28, a Sunday, is the last day to file all petitions for inclusion in the local voter registry.
Feb. 2, also a Sunday, is the last day to file any petition to remove the name or names of voters from the local registry.
Feb. 13 is the start and May 12 the end of the campaign period for senatorial bets, political parties, organizations or coalitions participating in the party-list system of elections.
March 30 is the last day for party-list participants to submit the names of nominees.
March 30 is also the start—and May 12 the end—of the campaign for those seeking congressional, provincial, city and municipal posts.

If you find it hard to have one good senator, can we just choose which senator is the LESSER EVIL.
The criteria we are now looking for a senator is the Lesser evil one.
Susana Ople, President of Blas F. Ople Policy Center has urged the OFW's to register themselves as absentee voters before the end of October for there is a need for this reminder to inform and make it clear for not all OFWs know that they only have untill October this year to register.
The Comelec has also taken measure in preaparing for the Elections and that this is just one of those ways to make it a lot easier for the OFW's to vote and its still being discussed.
We should have more citizen or Officials like this in our country. This is badly needed most especially now that we are experiencing Political instability. One vote is very important. Reminding our OFW's of their right here in the Philippines is just one way of achieving peace and organized country.
Lets exercise our hard-earned right to vote.!!!
Looks like the administration are now in the balimbing mode. What opportunists! Shameless crocs who wish nothing but their political survival.
