i would rather encourage students to learn the technology not a specific brand... as what ive heard from a former employee of cisco US...

Typical day sa office? depende unsa kadako inyo network ug inyo company/organization.
Kung junior/senior position kah example sa call center infra, you will support LAN/MAN/WAN operations particularly IDF, Data Centers across multiple sites. Apil na switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, etc. sa WAN you will collaborate 3rd party ISPs like Globe/PLDT maintaining your primary and redundant circuits.

Kasagaran network engineers sa call centers kay nag support ug multiple sites. You will design/configure/maintain redundant network connectivity to support the business, that includes Business Continuity Plan (BCP) ug kasagaran dagko nga company naay ITIL-based Change Control process to be followed/applied whenever naa changes nga e implement impacting or affecting production (large number of users especially agents taking calls).

Bottom line, you will always work in a diverse technology team/groups from local and remote sites. Diverse meaning lahi2x nga team, like Telecom/Voice, Desktops, Systems, Helpdesk, Developers/Programmers, etc. and you belong to Data Network team.

Kung sa gamay ra ka nga company/organization nag work, so gamay ra pud nga network imo e manage or maintain, that means dli kayo complicated imo work.

Kana naay port-security gi implement hasol kaayo na bsta naa mga users nga gahig ulo.
