Default Vulnerabilities and Exploits found in all Mac OS and iOS

Approximately 6 months ago an exploit to subtle vulnerabilities found in all Mac OS and iOS was found and reported by security researchers. This is only recently made public because Apple asked the researches to give them 6 months before disclosing the vulnerabilities. Read more about it at Arstechnica.

For users like me who has all important information stored in apps like 1password, it is advised to install only trusted apps for now just to be safe.

Some apps that are in the app could utilise this exploit because such is not easily detected by the Apple review team. As was written in the article posted above, they were able to submit and have their app approved which exploits those vulnerabilities. They were able to get the information stored in every other app (1password, banking apps, store apps like amazon and eBay, etc) and in the keychain of the phone and Mac itself. This information is not just passwords. It also contains banking information, pins, security keys, and the like. Please read the article for the detailed explanation.
