its good to have both, thats why I love dream theater they have those qualities, technicality and musicality.

but I always like musicality where the music takes you to another dimension bands like depeche mode and tool, theyre so pleasing to my ears

i try to put both musicallity and technical stuff when i try to write songs

too much of both would just bore me and lose attention to what the song was really about
