Manny Pacquio got booed during the BATTLE OF CEBU boxing

Last Saturday, I watched the boxing event in City Sports Complex. The Battle of Cebu: Moment of Truth. Bautista vs. Gonzalez Gorres vs. Montiel

Manny Pacquio was one of the guests. When he was introduced to the spectators. He was greeted by a loud "BOO" from the crowd. Every time his image appears on the wide screen, the people Booed again. Only a few of the crowd clapped their hands. Maybe about 1%. Some People shouted "Congressman" as a joke.

A National Icon being Booed in Cebu. What an embarrassment to him. Maybe he deserves it after entering Politics and being used by these Traditional Politicians.

Even Mayor Lito Atienza of Manila & Mayor Teddy Ouano of Mandaue got Boos from the crowd without any clapping of hands.

Jimrex Jaca also got Boos from the spectators maybe because of his lack luster effort even though he won by KO against Butar-Butar of Indonesia. Maybe also because of his past mistake of facing Manuel Marquez and lost by KO. He betrayed his Manager, Mr. Salud by choosing to fight Marquez instead of his previous commitment on fighting in the Undercard of Pacquio-Morales III. He was not yet ripe back then. To think he is based in Cebu and still the Cebuano's don't appreciate him.

I think Cebuanos are intelligent people to notice this kind of Mistakes from Politicians and National Icons.

Does Manny Pacquio deserve the treatment he got from us Cebuanos? Whats your opinion?

there was a boo but its not really loud bro, youre just exaggerating. i was there too and majority of the people were not booing pacman.
people are booing jaca after the fight because people are expecting that the fight will end early and i dont think that boo was from his past decision w/c is to fight marquez because majority of the people praised him for doing that. he even earned the respect of boxing fans in the us because he gave a very entertaining fight even though he lost by tko.

Pacquiao doesnt deserve to be booed. He was here to watch the fight. Entering the political arena is his choice. Let that decision of his be judged at the pooling booth but definitely not in the boxing arena. It is the people of the place where he wants to be a congressman be the judge on that, not us. Why should we be doing that when he has given honor to this country.

I just watched the news now on ABSCBN. What I told you guys is absolutely true . Manny was deeply hurt by the cold reception during the boxing event here in Cebu. He was adviced by Mayor Atienza to cancel his candidacy for congress.

Cebu made Manny realize that politics is not his game.
