This article is about Filipino culture and parenting, and its "impact" to child's character.It is true that family culture and belief molds you to what we are but the environment outside your family also plays a great role in character molding. This article is interesting because one comment you said,you will be judge based on your culture and how you are raised by your parents.

How we raised our children has a great impact on their character. Kun maayo ug gawi ang mga ginikanan, maayo sad ug gawi ang mga anak. We, parents serve as an example to our kids. Ug bati ta ug kinaiya bati sad ug kinaiya ang mga bata, although di nuon tanan mosumar. Dako sad hinuon ug influence ang environment labi na karon nga grabi na ka hitech.

ok ra man ang atong pag padako sa mga bata naa tay close family ties but ang ako ra di nahan kay kanang ato ra gi spoiled sila, like mag tantrums ang mga bata ato dayon doulon den ihatag dayon ang unsa ilang ganahan para mahilom which is wrong... pasagdan lang ta na sila para makibaw sila nga sayop sila, kasagaran man gud sa atong mga parents kay concentidor man gud...

Parenting is a very difficult thing. No matter how well you raise up a child and how good a model you are to them, there are still other factors one needs to consider. Sometimes, being strict helps while other times being lenient is more effective. Lisod jud i-balance ang imoha kaluoy sa bata ug ang need to discipline. There are no rules set that shares the best way to rear a child. Each and every person lahi lahi ang way sa pagpadako.

There really is no good or bad way of parenting [unless you mean the obvious ones like the subra-subra i.e. sobrang pagpangga, sobrang pag disiplina, etc.] To compare your way of rearing a child may just cause more harm than help. It might just cause depression thinking that you are a failure as a parent which may or may not true.

My point here is that, know the word control and do what you think is best for your child. To reiterate, there is no rules and guidelines in parenting; only the 'power of love'.

It all depends on how the parents was raised also. If parents undergone maltreatment from their parents theirs a tedency same treatment will happen to their children ...
