flat screen monitor can save more energy..?

how true? u can save daw compare to the not flat screen..?need some advice regarding to this..kac my friend is planning to buy another pc for her internet shop...

its true na ang lcd is energy saver monitor coz gmay lang ang power consumption compare sa crt.. pero kanang flat monitor na crt dili na tinood na gamay lang ang power consupmtion...kay same lang na sila sa non flat ang naka lain lang niya kay flay mao ra ang kalahi an nila......ang advance sa lcd kay lesspower consumption...pero ang dis advantage sa lcd kay 50,000 hrs lang ang life span i mean standard na life span while ang crt it will last 5-15 yrs depende sa usage....so naa sa sa end user kong unsa ang gamiton na monitor og unsaon pag care sa monitor..... sana maka tulong ang idea ko i just read it in the bandera newspaper kahapon....heheheheheheheheh

But power consumption is lesser for LCD Monitor except for Flat Screen CRT Monitors kay Cathode Ray Tube ra man ghpon na sila ang twist lang ana kay flat ang picture tube sa atubangan.

Mao d.i ni aku naresearch sa una before ako nipalit og LCD monitor..

MAG LB-906 = 60w
Samsung 940bw = 42w
LG L194WT = 34w
Viewsonic VA1912 = 32w

hmmm.. not sure bout the flat screen since parehas ra sila sa ordinary crt.. but ang LCD less power consumption gyd.. hehe.. mas ok sd ang LCD kai dli ayo huot.. mka save tah og space.. hehehe
