If you would ask Warren Buffett, he'd rather invest on businesses than on properties (like a farm for example or a piece of land).

At least that's what he said. Walay problema sa iya kay expert naman gud pud siya sa iyang business. ^_^

Murag ani bro, invest usa sa imong kaugalingon. Para kahibalo naka mo invest ug asa mas maayo i invest..

I am no expert but I think it is better to invest in property.

If you have a considerable amount of capital, spread your fund into several asset classes - bonds, stocks, UITF, money-market, commodity, property and personal business. Diversifying will also hurt your investment returns. If you want to maximize the profit, have a concentrated portfolio instead. So it all depends on your 1. asset allocation 2. risk appetite 3. target profit returns

Between the two, personally, I would go for business coz ang property would need dako na capital.

Depende because both are profitable. However, asa man imong expertise or at least asa ka knowledgeable? The best business or investment that you can make is something that you're knowledgeable about.

Depende rajud if what you prefer but as the majority, mas nindot ug lingaw jud if you are into business. I mean kanang unsay imong hilig mao jud ang imong i-invest especially if you are planning to business. Much more on properties kay dili raman sag kaayo ing-ana ka demanding sa imong time and skills.

Business needs skills and know-how man gud if wala ka ana then you're still far to go.

Just want to share this famous known quote that might help us:

Smart people learn from their own mistakes. Smarter ones learn from others' mistakes and successes.

Mao gyud bro, so parehas namo mga OFW. I wud say that ang pinaka ideal investment nga mu-fit sa amoa kay real estate lang cguro kesa Business or Investment products and the likes.
Like what others have said here, lisud ug moventure ka into sumthn nga wala kay know how , risky kaayo.
Honestly, I have passion in retail business (buy & sell ) kaso lang wala koy kasaligan sa Pinas nga mo-manage.
I used to run my own small scale biz kato naa pako Cebu and I was able to managed it sucessfully, sayang baya kung hunahunaon.

    Business

    - Needs Passion, Strong Capital, Time (for starters)
    - Study the business make sure you know the loop holes or in & outs
    - This requires a lot of Patience
    - Risk
    - Takes 3-5 years to say that you are stable & strong
    - Make sure you know your product very well and loves it

This really requires a lot of people skills and time dedication, you are going to encounter problems everyday and every time a problem is solve, a great profit is such an satisfying reward. The greatest challenge there is on how to maintain the growth of your profit monthly, quarterly and annually.

    Property Investments

    - Long Term Investments
    - dugay ang ROI
    - Risk
    - Passive Income
    - High Appraisal Value
    - Can be use as Collateral
    - Easy to find Capital & payment is stretchable & negotiable

Real Estate is one of the Best Investments all over the world. Shelter is a need in every individual like water, food and air. for an OFW like you I would suggest this one. It's hassle-free while earning a passive income. but be careful on what property to buy, always make a research on what you are getting into esp. when it is involve with money.

    • In Real Estate it's always Location, Location, Location. (Choose the right location)
    • Don't Hesitate to pay a High price for a Prime location.
    • Make sure all the papers are Clean, no matter how small it is.
    • Make sure the property you bought is mature enough for a Investment
    - What do I mean by that? Go back to the first one...Location!
Example: you bought a property in a province for 2 hec. because it's cheap, but what will you do with it to be income generating? Plant more trees? make it a farm? let care takers live there for free?
I'd rather buy a small condo unit within the City and rent it out for 15k/month or a small parcel of land & build a apartment. Than having a farm on the province and earns only when it is harvest time. Although it's not that bad but, If want to earn big on Farming you need to Invest Millions.
