This article is interesting especially for us Filipinos. we all speak of PRIDES... but did you already questioned yourself if the PRIDE were fighting is worthless or not? Is it appropriate in this era of our country?

While on topic. I kinda agree, pride is thrown around too much these days. Especially kanang sa youtube nga sige ingon "Proud to be a Filipino". Wala may lain tao sa laing nationality sige ingon ana. ngano i inggon pa man nga proud ka. If you are proud don't say it let other people notice. Mura man gud nga nag reassure sa ilang kaogalingon, insecure!

200% agree with you on that, action speaks louder than words just put it into action not just saying it to all people you've met, but if they see a Filipino that is down and really need help they even don't care like nothing happened, but if they see a very popular pinoy then they show to the world how proud they are, they are even worse than some scum of the society, but look at those Chinese living in our country if they see a Chinese fellow in need of help then a bunch of them will come and lend some help, that is why there are more rich Chinese in the country than Filipino natives themselves.
They keep saying proud to be a Filipino but are the Filipinos proud of you?....

Regionally, blame the ones in the capital city.

For the long time I have been facing strangers over the internet of our own nationality, it is them that are the loud mouth, pride bloated people. I talk to people with the English language so I wouldn't be identified of my nationality. From the tagalogs, I get full on pride and ego boosting while people in VisMin does have really good humility especially when dealing with people of other nationalities (or being pretentious of their nationalities, like me).

We don't have to brag about Manny P or Charice P or whoever that fan of Lady Gaga just to overweigh foreign people. I do realize we have a colonial mentality but we don't have to be pretentious faggots that we're a big deal because he/she is a Filipino.

Stay classy Visayas and Mindanao.
