it belong to canon low end lens.. images quality is respectable, autofocus is slow. i would recommend get the 70-200 f4/L if budget is not a concern. the extra cost is worth it in my opinion.

good background blur
good for portraits and close ups
nice color rendition
good contrast
sharp
pretty fast focus (daytime)
affordable
image stabiliser (claims to have 3 stops compensation)
performance vs price >> performance wise ok cya for its price
has 1xUD element (just like the L)

cons
front element rotates while focusing
slow focus (if night time) >>this is the only reason why i'm selling my lens now coz im shooting weddings and it's difficult to shoot at 6pm up without flash

I used to have this lens (paired with my 18-55mm).

Nice ni xa ug reviews. Ilang nickname ani is "Nifty Two-Fifty" kay nice IQ (image quality) given the
cheap price.

Pros:
+ Medyo OK ug image quality
+ Cheap
+ Taas ug reach
+ with IS

Cons:
- Dili ring USM (ultra sonic motor)
- And since dili USM, dili FTM (full time manual)

akong ikatambag nimo boss, palit nalang ug 70-200 aron ma isa ra imong gasto...kay in the long run maka hibaw ka ug unsa ang imong shortcomings ana na lens.

pero kung budget ang concern nimo, ok na na nga lens. pero try to consider Tamron 70-300/4-5.6 Di VC. ok pod iyang IQ, naa pod IS, ug mas taas iyang ma focal length.

you may refer below para sa comparison sa canon 55-250 ug tamron 70-300...by the way naa naman pod coming 55-250 IS version 2.
