stockings- to wear or not to wear?

its hot here in the philippines and wearing stockings/pantyhose is consindered to be a hassle because of the heat and its uncomfortability. are there any ladies out there who do wear stockings/pantyhose for pleasure/to prevent getting varicose veins/fashion/personal choice and not because its a must at work? i've noticed that leggings and stocknigs have made a comeback in fashion. how many gals embrace this trend and does this trend change your mind on about wearing them?

currently overseas and it's winter, so wearing stockings/pantyhose or leggings have since became part of my daily wardrobe (when going out)..somehow, it keeps me warm..i prefer black.

the last time i wore stockings/pantyhose in the philippines was way back HS graduation, hehe..some women wear them to beat the kinda-freezing air-condition in the office...some wear it as a fashion statement (even kids)..

it's also winter hir n mah place,wearing leggings or stockings is a big help n keeping us warm. i usually wear 2 stockings & 2 leggings juz to ensure dat dis bloody cold can't penetrate into mah skin. naay winter stockings jud pro not fun of wearing it kay mangatol ko.

yeah, when i was abroad too, a lot of women wore stockings in winter... sheer black or thick na skin color(yung bright/light tan usually) they are warm sa legs, i also wore tights when i was winter back then. it worked better and was more comfortable than an extra lalyer of pants under my jeans. you wanna keep warm? wear tights, their thicker and warmer... if its really cold, look for cotton tights.

that was a REAL long time ago na ba? (hihihih... jas kiddin ) to beat the freezing air condition- wy not wear slacks then? does 1 real thin layer of nylon give a lot of warmth against an air conditioner at full blast?

its only here in the philippines that winter is only in one's office... 2 stockings and legings? 4 layers in all? that's a lot. it must be really cold where you are! cold air/wind always manages to get into the tightest spots- thought a small slit, openings, a zipper... 4 layers, yeah, you'll never get varicose veins that way.

look at the pic on the right, if you noics, the color(white) on her upper thigh is whiter! she's wearing stockings over her brightly colored tights! it either very cold where she is, she doesn't want rund on her colored tights(so the stockings are outside as a proective layer) or she has a very good sense of fashion, to change the texture/color of hosiery.

1. its hot for our weather
2. it would not suit me coz i have skinny legs

am not comfortable wearin dis winter stockings coz dey r made of dis special materials to kep u warm juz like winter mantels/jackets dat's made of woal and i can't stand it coz am itching. ryt now am n switzerland and it's really bloody cold down hir.

love dis fashionable printed,solid,lace leg warmers/leggings/stockings, it's one of d hottest new trends n town.it complement on any special occasion clothing while keeping ur legs warmed and energized specially during winter.

hmmm..i wear stockings nearlt everyday coz of school...but its all good, i dont really notice na its hot ba jd.. i just buy serena brand of stockings color 23 coz its the lightest. cheap at 60 pesos so i can just throw it out when sugod na og run.heeh

but for parties or casual days, no way will i wear stockings..weird man tanawun

stockings for school? white? tan(skin color)? or black(umm, di ata pwede and black unless its tights and i dont think that there's a school here in the philippines that makes its students wear black tights... its either u r a nurse or stylish gal ka... nurse ka ba?
