How do I open this @#%* thermos carafe?

We're house-sitting at my mother-in-law's place and she has this thermos carafe to keep water hot for making coffee. Neither of us can figure out how to open it! I know it opens 'cause there was still hot water in it when we got here. It says Omega on the front and the top's kind of rounded like a dome.

Does anyone else have one like this, and can tell me how to open it?

bro, kita ka anang luyo sa handle?
mao nah i press nimo para mo open ang nozzle (agian sa tubig pagawas).
just press it.

kanang dome imong gi ingon, tuyokon lang nah nimo para masudlan og tubig balik.
the trick part, kay naa nah siya lock. when open ang nozzle, dili nah nimo maliso..
just press the button to make sure nga close ang nozzle para ma liso nimo ang dome.

as what i see sa pic, murag naka open nah ang nozzle mao dili nimo maliso ang dome.

try lang bro.
