    Default Long lasting relationship

“Love lasts when the relationship comes first.”

Growth in a relationship should come from:
    - doing things together
    - allowing things to happen,
    - accepting them as is, and
    - changing what you can.

    It involves sharing and caring.

What do you think are essential in building lasting relationship?

    If my opinion matters . . .

    It would be:

    - G O D
    - chemistry/compatibility
    - trust
    - loyalty
    - patience and understanding
    - 0% pride involved
    - respect
    - L O V E

Building a long lasting relationship can be a great challenge for some couples. A long lasting, solid relationship is what everyone dreams of.

i would llike to share these some tips in building a long lasting relationship:

    1. Make time for each other whether it is going out with friends, attending a sporting event, going to a social function or cuddling on the couch. We tend to forget about spending time together when we fall into the hustle and bustle of life. We have to learn to cut off from work when your work day ends and relax and share time with our partner.
    2. Reach out and touch your partner. An important key to a long lasting relationship is affection and loving. When your partner least expects it, reach out and hug or kiss them. Do this spontaneously and frequently.
    3. Tell your partner how lucky you feel to have them in your life. Couples forget to tell each other from time to time how truly important the other is to them. Speak out and express your love when you can and tell them how much you care.
    4. Give your partner space. Just as much as we need time together, we also need space. Give your partner the space they need, when they need it. Sometimes we need time to refresh our minds and if our partner respects this space, we can build and strengthen our relationship.
    5. Start over. Some couples are able to do this and achieve a 'new' feeling again within their relationships. This feeling is achieved by forgiving and forgetting the past and the mistakes both of you have made. Wipe the slate clean and begin again with light flirtation.

    is compatibility a must? =/

  7. #7
yes. relationships are held together over time because of compatibility, not chemistry, passion, love style, *** type or dating persona. Compatibility is a psychological concept, not an inherently hard-wired and unconscious phenomenon between two people that stems from uncontrollable chemical reactions in the brain.

I'm not being sarcastic here TS.. it's just how i see things... any given topic should have two sides of it.. and that's the answer i can give, it may not be favorable to u or the others. Just my two cents.
