Good day.
I am a fan of coffee shops and cafes that allow you to "tambay" and "chill".
My kids and I recently went to Cafe Noriter (along Ayala going to Perpetual Hosp na street...naa ra sya sa corner) and I was surprised to know that it was owned by a Korean. Needless to say, we were happy with the food, kato ila bread w/ honey, and we ordered a couple of drinks ra pud. Check out lang gud sa place. The kids enjoyed making tambay especially since they could write notes and browse magazines and enjoy the wifi connection.
I was quite disappointed to learn from my eldest daughter that another Korean cafe 'CAFE NAMU' located at that compound of restaurants/shops across ParkMall OBLIGE all their customers to buy a drink/product/item. Free lang ka sa rule if you're 5yrs old and below daw. PLUS, you can only stay for 3hrs.

!!!
Imagine?
While shops definitely 'can' tell their customers to buy this and that from their shop, OBLIGED jud? So ang tambay2 sa ako eldest daughter and her friends were cut short kay sinabihan jud sila they can only stay a max of 3hrs.

tsk tsk...
...and to think these Koreans are enjoying a lower priced living lifestyle as compared to what they can have in their own country.
Don't get me wrong...I have had Korean friends and students at one time or another, and they're basically nice people...but to think that they're here in Cebu, they could probably use a little more 'friendliness' in attracting more business so we, Cebuanos...Filipinos in general, would patronize their shops.

Learned din last night, there's another Korean cafe that is doing this as well... Cafe Tiala? Not sure with the name.
It's located at the building beside Grand Convention...where there's China Trust below...this Korean-owned cafe replaced the salon/parlor Au Revoir on the 2nd floor naa naa balcony.
The place is nice because their rooms, where you can enjoy their products/items/cafe/coffee2 is themed.
So basically, nice sya tambayan...
Pero mao lagi na...you can only stay for a specific maximum number of hours...3 hrs., I think?
tsk tsk..
Any thoughts?
