Default Re: Focus 1.8 AT Hatch

    Hi mga Istoryans!

Need your feedbacks on the Ford Focus 1.8 AT Hatch. I noticed that this car is not commonly seen in our streets here. Any particular reason why? Didto man gud ko gahapun sa showroom nila and I was impressed with the interiors and its implementation considering its price (879K?) except that the backseat has less legroom and headroom for anyone more than 5'5" (ok ra kay usually ang manakay sa likod kay kutob ra man 5'4").

I'm not particular with resale value as what Tsikoteers have indicated. I would like to know your opinions and experiences with this car before I take the plunge. Thanks.

there's a sedan type right? why opt for the hatchback and not the sedan? you get a baggage compartment plus more legroom and headroom (i think) than the hatch.

btw how much is the price of the 2.0 diesel Focus?

I am looking for an A/T. It's the cheapest one they have. The TCDi version costs 1.209M which is too rich for me right now. I think the interiors in the focus are much better implemented than the Altis 1.6G A/T (Ergo, I feel my money is better spent). The exterior doesn't really disappoint also. I also liked the thick doors, feels very safe especially since my wife will be driving this most of the time. What do you think about their after-sales service and parts? Any negative feedback on the Focus 1.8 A/T?

no other opinions or experiences mga bro? ari lang ko nangutana kay i need info unsay feedback with the ford dealership here in Cebu as the unit will be used here also. daghan ko bati nabasahan about ani especially sa tsikot ug fordclub forum. i think more on the bad services in some of the luzon dealerships. of course, naa sad mga "lemons" here and there but no car brand doesn't have one (ang problem is if they have the propensity for it >> inadequate QC and poor after-sales service?). i guess one of the things i want to know is if this car is reliable or durable for our Cebu roads as i will be using this for more than 5 years. i'm fine with decent fuel economy, say 8-9km/L.

In terms of reliability, I think Ford should be fine. Some of Focus' technology were carried over from Ford's experience in WRC just like the Mitsu's and the Subaru...IMHO lang...
And I was able to get my hands on some of Ford component/parts engineering specs/requirements and grabe sila ka-strict.

And personally, I would love to have my hands on the TDCi especially with Ford's powershift gearbox. (Pero saunz, di jud ko ka-afford hehehe). Pero again, nothing beats the experience when driving the stick shifter . But kung comfort ang giapas nimo boss, go for the A/T kay layo ra sad jud ang M/T.

About after sales support, wa ko idea hehehe....

Pero, why don't you try visiting Mitsubishi's Lancer EX? Basin diay and I think prices are in the same range.

    IMHO

Basically, ganahan ko sa Ford Focus Trend 1.8 AT. Maayo unta kung walay issues ani nga model here in Cebu usage.

I think Ken Block will be driving on a Ford Focus soon in the WRC.....basin lang...
