Default 2nd hand cars: Manila Units

recently i have been going around looking at some 2nd hand cars coz im planning to buy.. i noticed that Manila Units are much cheaper than Cebu Units.. is there really some disadvantages if it's manila-based? i mean, if they can provide authentic papers then there's no probs right?

mostly, manila units na sakyanan taas na kaayo ug mileage and when it reaches cebu.. ila lang i tamper ang odometer (not all though) para dli ma discourage ang buyer. even if nindot pa kaayo ug body but still the mileage counts for me. cebu unit still is the best..

actually the best thing to do is bring a mechanic and get his opinion on a car. Cebu units can be tempered also. Mao ra baya ang mga seller sa cebu ug manila units.

Yup, they are much cheaper and sometimes they are also better maintained than Cebu units (parts are more abundant and cheaper). Depends on the owner though. You can have the engine/chassis number checked by LTO to see if it's a "hot" unit. Pero it would be best to buy from somebody who you know or is a friend of somebody you know.

Shipping is just 10k+ one way for a sedan.

Nope. Heck, we even had our unit macro-etched at PNP - checks out - and it's still a hot car after 2 years of useage. Buy brandnew or from you rich relative/friend.

Take it from someone who was a victim of a hot car purchase.
