Help! Winxp installation

Mga bro and sis, help i have P4 Asrock mobo and proc2.8 ghz when i install the OS xp it will start hang on starting copying files of os. I try it several times it will hang on that part of installation of OS XP. I already try to the HDD and Memory its still the same error hang so i cant proceed in installation. What do u think my mobo is already defective.?

try laing Installer and CDROM..

If mo hung sya then BSOD, memory ang problema. Try to resetup without Video card, use onboard video card, or try to replace your windows explorer, or try another CDROM Drive.

@kermans: consider pud ang power sa imo CD-ROM, if kadawat jud cya insakto na power..naka experienced pud ko ani...sa PSU nko ang prob..

BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death, like mo blue ang screen then it will display some errors, like Memory Problems.

Pila kabuok memory nimo? and pila ka buok HD? naa ka xtra CD drive? naa ka lain XP installer?

to check asa jud dapit ang prob, try daw replace lain na HD ug install f d gihapun sa CD-rom na prob

Memory judna i agree with icechan83. Kay ug installer na then mo reklamo rana siya ug cannot copy or error copying watever. Then ug CD ROM ang problema naman judna error message. But if mo hang up then sa RAM najudna.

Naka encounter ko similar problem with my ECS K7AMA3 mobo w/ Athlon XP 1800+. Mu hang ang setup sa XP during sa format procedure (even sa quickformat at 20% everytime).

Changed halos everything! HDD, DDR memory, AGP video card, ATX power supply, CD-ROM to DVD-ROM, and the CMOS battery. Kulang nalang ako mahuna-huna is to flash the BIOS pero so far unsuccessful ko kay galisod ko sunod sa DOS instructions. He he. . . Standby ang mobo & proc.
