    Default Mother Teresa

i juz want to share wat i learn from mother teresa of Calcutta which makes me to strive my best to be a good christian day by day...

    and to see life positively...

    some qoutes of mother teresa...

"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat."

“If I ever become a Saint—I will surely be one of 'darkness.' I will continually be absent from Heaven—to light the light of those in darkness on earth .”

"I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world."

"Each one of them is Jesus in disguise."

"The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between."

"I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?"

"Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person."

"God doesn't require us to succeed; he only requires that you try."

"If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive."

    blessed mother Teresa

how true was it that in her diary, Mother Teresa, expressed her doubts about life and God?

  4. #4
it was true that she expressed in her diary a sort of passage in her life. she was undergoing what mystics might call: "the dark night of the soul."

wow, Frater. not many would ever know about that. yes, she underwent that. i think all Adepts undergo that sort of thing. i wonder how they overcome it though.

thus have i heard: that when a person surpasses the dark night of the soul, it would be a step forward and sign that one has evolved and may be nearing illumination.

st. john of the cross has a good book: the dark night of the soul.

yes, frater. all those in the path have the choice to be in such event in their lives. The way to overcome it is to practice and continue what one has started, for if one is in the dark night of the soul it is a period wherein spirituality may be lax and faith may be lost. In the case of Mother Theresa, she chose the path of Karma Yoga, the path of selfless service in honor of God. No wonder she never stopped caring for people.

the experience of Mother Teresa's night of nothingness is very consistent with the experience of canonized mystics.
