bro nawala ang icon nga "my computer" sa ako pc...unsaon pag enable sa icon using reg edit.... kai murag virus man tingali ni ....then wla man gud i-net dri... kai naa man sa rural area nga school..

on desktop area, right click then properties--> go to desktop tab and then click customize desktop and see if the my computer icon is check and then apply it and press ok.. got it?

Why don't you try to scan the machine first for viruses..once identified, removed it and then proceed to registry editing...

yes, scan the machine for viruses first kay basin magbalik-balik ra imong problem. anyway kung gusto jud ka sa registry edit, this is how you do it at your own risk:

1. go to START->Run->type "regedit" (without the quotes)
2. go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt Version\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewstartPanel
3. look for this key on the right pane: {20D04FE0-3AEA-1609-A2D8-08002B30309D}
4. double-click it then change the "Value data" to 0 (zero) [0=unhide, 1=hide]->Ok->exit->restart
