Default Medium range computers - kay di diay mo qualify for high end :-P

Im planning to buy a computer but naglibog ko kung mo deretso bako ug high end nga computer o medium level ra.

Ako migo ingon nga mas maayo mag medium end lng kay mahal ra kaayo ang high end. Nya upgrade nalang kung unsa ang kinahanglan.

Ang purpose rapud nako sa ako computer kay for my poker and games. Sa poker I need a fast processor and lots of RAM kay mo gamit ko ug database nga software and I plan to buy a 32" monitor so I need an above average video card. Expected life for computer gaming would be 2 yrs ra and after wards pure poker machine na then buy lang ko bag-o computer for gaming purposes if I really need one.

Budget nko kay 45k, way labot monitor ani. I apas lng nako ang 32" kay tag 40k+.
So unsa inyo opinion, moderetso mo high end o sa medium level computers lang sa?

di ko ani sure ha pero i think ang gi-mean sa thread starter is poker simulation machine. kung mao then he needs a very fast processor and a very big RAM since it will deal with a lot of calculation/simulation pareha sa super pi na benchmarking tool.

thread starter: just buy the fastest proc available locally and 4-8GB of RAM. then make sure na ang AI or program sa imo poker kay walay memory leak para dili kalas og RAM.

When I say poker databasing, I wil be playing with statistics of players displayed sa tables. or to make it simpler, the database will give me information on how each player plays poker based on the number of times I have recorded the cards they played and what they did when they played that hand

my current rig has P4 3.2Ghz, 512MB RAM, ASUS 9600SE 128MB nga video card. Nya magkamang na with just 9 tables playing, dungagan sa nako ni ug RAM para ma 1 Gb total nya basin ma dala ra.

I plan to go as many as 20 tables at the same time with a 32" monitor with my new computer.

However plano nako ang new computer would be good for gaming as well so mahulog for gaming purposes jud ni. And my 45k will be for the rig only.

    ill rephrase my question:

Is it worth spending cash on high end specs nga mo go down ra ang price in half in just 6 months or better buy medium priced specs and just upgrade as needed?

Stick with your 45k budget ftw!, Your 45k will just about fit with your current computing needs with extra room to spare. And if I may suggest, go for ATI 4870 GPU or 4870x2 if pwede pa.
