    Default Watson's

    Hello fellow istoryans.
    just want to share with you my experience with watsons. i always buy there unya dinaghan pa. one time when i got home, i noticed nga kulang ug 1 item ang naa sa plastic even though it was complete in the receipt. and it was watsons sm where i last went to. Next instance was still in watsons sm where what was indicated in the price tag was 466 for a sunscreen loyion. of course i didnt notice it when they scanned it cuz there were a lot of things that i bought. when i got to the taxi, i noticed that the price on the receipt of the lotion that i bought was 550. Last instance was in Watsons JY Square where i bought Minoxidil spray for my son which clearly costs 495 and it was just placed at the back of the counter. i saw that the lady scanned the box and there were still other items that i bought. while on the taxi, i checked the receipt and it shows that the amount of minoxidil was 595! i went back and asked them for a explanation. the lady only said that she scanned the price of the 60ml box but she was NOT able to explain why that happened. the nail polish also priced incorrectly. they even pleaded to get the receipt from me.. i told them to change their modus since its adding frustration..

    i'm so thankful that i've been warned by this thread before. Gamit jud kaayo.

    i went to Watsons (SM Dept Store) earlier. I bought some stuff including an Oral-B tootbrush which cost P129.00 only. On my way to the car park, I checked my receipt coz I had a strange feeling that something was wrong. There I saw that my toothbrush was charged P190.00!!! I went back to Watsons & re-checked the other same toothbrush on display & all we're priced P129.00. I approached one of their tindera. Instead of doing something like verifying their pricelist, she just told me "Mao jud na iyang price, sir!" After giving her a frightful tiger look hehe, she asked me to wait & she'll raise the problem to their manager. They kept me waiting for half an hour but the manager (or whoever that was) didn't even had the guts to face & talk to me. The tindera told me there was an alteration in the barcode & I have to pick up another item/s that cost P61.00 (P190 - P129) coz they will not be giving any cash refund. In my mind naka-ingon jud ko "ako na gani ang dehado, mo-gasto pa jud kog lain kwarta para nila!" as if ako'y sad-an sa ilang kapalpakan... But I kept my cool ra jud. wala ra ko nangasaba coz I've also worked in a store na murag Watsons pod before & i know the feeling that di lalim ang makasab-an ug customer...hehe

    After ko nakapili ug items, nag gubot na pod sila sa counter coz dapat daw sa Customer Service mo-approach if naay return stuff blah3x... I had to wait again for another half an hour to let them finish their argument. I was already very pissed off at that time pero nag-smile2x ra jud ko kay kapoy na makig-lalis... Then finally when everything was settled at the Customer Service, the tindera brought me again to the counter for the issuance of another receipt. The cashier said "P60 ra man ang total ani imong additional items, sir... pun-i lang ug lain pa gyud nga item.." I was like HALLER!!! naa ba'y tag PISO nga tinda diri sa department store

    haaaay Watsons, pag chur intawn mo oi.. kung naka-timing pa cguro to sila ug tao nga salbahis, ambot na lang!...

    add on:

    I asked the tindera to get me another toothbrush coz the cover of the one i got was slightly opened. Then naligas ang tindera niingon sya "Ingon ana man jud tanan display namo, sir..." hehe I wanted to really see it for myself, and sakto jud diay sya! tanan cover sa Oral-B toothbrush on display are slightly opened. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW & WHY... perhaps DTI has something to say about this..tsk tsk

    kalma ra kaayo mo as customers. you should've given them a hard time. it's their job to fix things up kay customer baya ka. i don't believe nga the customer is always right but sa imong experience, naa jud kay katungod mangasaba nila tungod sa ilang pagka way klaro.

    @Ghoulia and Motownkid:

    could it be possible that the price tag (which is the lower price) is the price you pay after discount, and the original price (which is higher) is displayed in fine print? i don't know about Watsons coz mostly CVS (pharmacy) diri, they give customers the option to avail of the bonus card, and that card can be used while the item is being paid at the cashier so the price you pay is the discounted price instead of the original, higher price.

    maro man sad ng mga pharmacy/grocery store. they put a lower price and they don't always mention that it's not the original price but only a discounted price if you avail to some of their perks.
