And what is wrong with people changing it themselves? If they are so inclined to receive PMs from anonymous people, they can specify that themselves. Having people opt in to random people's messages is so much better than having to opt out of things they might not want.

Believe it or not, there is actually a purpose to why things are the way they are. You'd think after years and years of running iSTORYA, we'd have thought of situations such as these.

Mas maayo kun exclusive to contacts lang ang default para iwas spam, scam, etc.

@benicio, other social sites, i.e. Friendster or Facebook, is doing also such which is limited to his/her contacts/friends list ang maka message.

Daghan reasons why there's such things and its also a part of Privacy/Security of the user.

because a 40 year old friend of mine nga bag-o ra nakabawo ug forumboard quit because he cant send and dont want to spend time learning just because he wants to buy something from bst.

Just teach him/her to thread post than send PM.
Basin di lang jud ganahan ang user mag pasamok through PM.

Anyways, this forum is accessed through internet, a public access for everyone.
Daghan mo-visit pud ani nga site bisag dili cebuano or pinoy.
Possibility/Risk is still high for spammers and bots.

dili neh ni mahitabu bai..... kai daghan mga WALA PA KIBAW SA RULES ang mga PM PM.... mo PM uroy ug nga ngil-ad nga PM... edi.. mas daghan ang MO UNDANG SA ISTORYA instead of only a FEW.... nag agi napud mi anang learning how to navigate this forum.... if dili siya nahan ana... then dili jud siya para diri... adto nalang sa multiply ahy.. dali ra ka maka PM... hehe
