Anybody here has AVIARIES ? Please pics and tell us about what you have inside . GIve inputs on tips , dimensions , materials , conditions etc on how to get started building AVIARIES .

I am planning to build one myself with both ground fowls to be included also .

What birds are you planning to breed? I'm using collapsible 17" x 30" cages for each breeding pair of African Lovebirds, Parakeets, English Budgies & Finches. For flight, I'm using 2' x 2' x 6' collapsible cages...

Mga basic brids lang bro like FINCHES , PARAKEETS , LOVE BIRDS hopefully masagulan pod ug MYNA unya sa ground kay peacocks na assorted .

Wala pa ko nahimo na design but I already have something in mind pero material wise di pa ko sure unsay gamiton nako if mag wood , pvc , metal ba ko sa frames .

Ive alsp learned that PVC is the best bet kay ang kana daw mga CHICKEN WIRES and the likes kay GALVANIZED IRON na sila ang is dangerous sa mga langgam .

Update lang kosa topic .... BTW murag confusing kaayo because most AVIARIES are small ang perimeter , my project is gonna be an AVIARY / SANCTURAY type diay .

Inside the sanctuary would be a fishpond also for KOI's .

pre why don't you visit the aviary in crown regency mactan, they have a very nice collection of birds in there, mynas, parrots, love birds, parakeets, owls and i think i saw some falcons. at least you'll get some idea on how to build your own, its really large, if my estimate is correct its about 10m x 8m x 6m (probably more), inside they have other smaller cages for the really larger birds and some fountains with a touch of zen design, and yes, nice lights for the night

we have one also here in our backyard, more like oversized bird cages, hehehe! about 20' x 5' x 7' and several other small cages to house the other birds, we have the ordinary love birds, african love birds and latinos, a few fowls and a fighting cock (lemon)

ANy chance of me to avail your knowledge on birds in person ? Can I view your collection ? Actually my vision of the project is for the birds to freely fly like they are in the wild , its just that they are captives in reality mao na reason why I am planning to make a very big cage .

My only problem is I dont know how birds react with other breeds . Basin mag utang ko ug kalaw then the next day ang parakeets nangamatay na kay gi away . The territorial instincts gani nila . I want to put as much as breeds I can basta naay harmony lang within them mapa small , medium and large birds .

For the moment ang naa sa akong blue print kay rectangular lang ang shape sa cage and naay semi dome ga patong pero wala pa ko naka decide sa materials to be used .
