AMD
agree. pag amd nlang bai. ang mga bago na amd kay less heat naman na cya kaysa intel. just make sure to get a capable GPU/VCARD, low latency ram, atleast 7200rpm HD. kana ok na na. i also have an internet cafe nya nag intel ko for my first one. then branch nako kay amd na.Originally Posted by 10-X
Definitely AMD; the only problem I see with going for AMD-based PC's is availability (though I could be wrong)... Intel (AKA chipzilla) has mountains of suppliers here in the Philippines. You may have to make special arrangements with dealers who sell AMD CPU's.
Recommended specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939 (Venice Core)
any brand of DDR 400 512 MB RAM or you can go 1 GB (optimal for gaming)
any 80 GB SATA HD
any nForce4 based motherboard (I would recommend ePox)
nVIDIA based graphics card (anything less than a GeForce 6600 is NOT advisable)
a decent 350 W PSU (HEC, Task, Enermax)
any 17" CRT monitor

thanks mga bro!!
hadlok man gud ko sa AMD..basi akong mapalit nga motherboard..dili jud maayo ug performance for AMD.
budget lang ug 25t per unit. approve ko sa gipost ni viktor. ok na kaayo na nga specs for games and internet.
no need for us to buy monitor..kay naa naman mi monitor..
so if AMD nga CPU lang..pila jud ang budget? PIla jud ka MB ang video card?
how about Intel lovers? what can u suggest?
anton, there is too much proof on the internet as to why AMD is just far better than Intel in terms of pure performance... I don't know where to start..

You can do with 128 MB of video memory.

ok thanks bro!!
ako-a sugdan ug basa ang naa sa links..
heeheheh
Here's a price quote... I took the prices from www.rsuncomputers.com, so it should reflect current local prices...
motherboard: Epox 9NPA+ nForce4
P 5,400.00
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
P 7,100.00
video card: Palit GeForce 6600 GT 128 MB PCI-E
P 8,200
or Palit GeForce 6600 128 MB PCI-E
P 5,100
memory: 2 TwinMOS 256 MB DDR400 (total 512 MB memory)
P 1,400 x 2 = P 2,800
PSU: 350W Task Dual Crystal Fan
P 1,800
hard drive: Seagate 80GB SATA 7200 RPM w/ NCQ
P 3,600.00
---------------------------------
P 28,900.00
w/ the 6600 VGA card: P 25,800
If you don't have the computer cases... that shouldn't be a problem. A case w/o the PSU can cost only around P 1.2k or something.. PC retailers may even give you a discount because of bulk purchases. The cost of a mouse and keyboard are negligible of course...![]()
