Default create private server as a lifetime achivement

guys i ask this once but istead of helping me by posting links the topic turns to debate.
as a freelance programmer i really intended to practice creating a private server. i use MU game.
definitely this is not of my intention to share the server (if successfully created) to other gamer.

i really fel it a lifetime achivement.
hope guys youll be part of this course i take... no debate NEEDED just a link how to create mu private server if you have..

    THNX...

Hmmm... I wonder how the istorya mods would react to this...
Links to how to create private servers would undermine the efforts of the developers of MU...
This would be considered a form of "intellectual piracy" and istorya mods aren't too keen on piracy
    Better be careful hybrid_X...

you are a freelance programmer? cool. you can play MU online, use a packet sniffer to log the packets sent and recied by the game, then from there analyze the basic formats that the packets are in (provided they are not encrypted, but i guess since version .95 its been encrypted) and then form a primitive, log-in log-out software for the game. once you are done with that, try building the map-servers, find out how Mu stores, movement data, and item data, and then from there, analyze the packets for monster data and damage calculations..

and after probably 4 years of hard work interpreting the packets sent back and forth the game, you can most probably identify most or maybe all of the information sent and recieved by the game to the servers and from there formulate your own emulation of the actual game server.

    good luck!!

This is really a catch 22. If you create a server from scratch with entirely your own code, even if it emulates the official servers, then you are in no way violating the developers' intellectual property. Where most people run into a problem is when they use the official client to access unauthorized servers.

However, it seems that the poster has no development capabilities and is looking for an easy and free route towards a goal. For the record, DO NOT POST LINKS to these server emulators.
