bros and sis nid ur brilliant ideas: problemado ako p.c ron coz dugay mo pop-up ang iyang icons once i start windows xp,sa wala pani siya mahitabo nakadetect ang akong spyware ug virus sa akong system.dugay kaau napatay ang virus pero napatay ra jud.but after napatay na niya ang virus nag restart ko to check kung wala bay naapektuhan sa akong drivers,mao na dayun to dugay na au mo appear ang icons sa desktop,gi check nako ang drive c nako basin gamay nalang space,daku paman sobra....unsa man angay nakong buhaton?nid ur advice jud mga bros and sis.....

if it had already slowed down due to virus infection...and cleaning with Combofix.exe. / RRT.exe / ezcleaner.exe / ATF-Cleaner.exe wont help...

theres no other remedy to it..to restore it to its fastest state..

back-up ur files first..partition ur hard drive..

d: for all files..

para if it re occurs...way blema...if dili malimpyo.

or better yet, buy:

2 WD Velociraptors 10KRPM 300GB via RAID 0 for OS and apps
2 Seagate 7200RPM 1TB via RAID 1 for data

anyway, i go with butitoy's answer, plus, consider buying a separate drive for your data.

by the way partitioned nani ang drive ani...and last option nani nako ang format pero kung corrupted na jud akong os then no other ways but to format this....thank s bro.

bro try nmo daw ipa scan imng hardisk sa lain computer den try mircosoft restore after..basi madala pa..kapoy bya sugod..^_^

Try system restore or try some registry repairing softwares.

if you want your pc fresh as if it were out of the box, you have to reformat it. changing registry settings or using system restore just wouldn't work the way a reformat does. you'll get a bloated registry, and it isn't good.

mao gyud, if you have another pc available why not make it slave, there you can remove the virus by scanning it.
