Default Being a Parent to your Parents

Let's face it, there comes a time, especially in society like ours when one becomes parent's to their parents.
I, for one, am in that certain stage right now. And honestly, I'm beginning to loose it.
It's fraustrating, mentally and emotionally tiring.
Finances our low and they can't just seem to do anything but demand.

Funny, isn't it. Wonder how they felt, when I flunked that Calculus in college....

i am very much 'at-home' with this topic.

you see, i stayed away from home for about 6 years only to realize that i am doing it to head the family. work and decide. been doing that for my parents for 6 years already. and believe me, its reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy frustrating. badlongon nga mga tiguwang. kung kanus-a na tiguwang dha magkiat.

but its the reason why i am still standing up. the responsibility that is.

it's good to know that you guys are the bread-winners of the family..
that's a pretty hard situation knowing that you have to grasp so much responsibility for the sake of "family"..

    kudos to all..

...but there's really a time when things get so frustrating and things get out of hand (i.e failing, etc..), we couldn't help but feel sorry for ourselves...

and one thing too, im proud of having filipino values.. we always take care of our loved ones.. kung dri pana sa america, hagbay rana sila gpang butang sa extended care facility.. i wouldn't dare do that to my mom, honestly..

I love my parents. Now that i am the bread winner of the family, i'll do anything to support them in every way. No questions asked.

I do love my family. I'm the only child now since my brother died several years ago.
Sometimes when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I can't tell it right into their face that I'm tired of handling the responsibilities.
I could never, even in thought, desert them in any way.

Sitting in the porch of our house with a cold beer @ hand might relax my nerves and push the angst away hehehehehhehehe

am the bread-winner @ this tym since we moved here in texas... but i have not felt any frustrations probably coz i have always pictured out that once am stable enough i'd atleast pay them back for everything that they've done for me... there are arguements now and then but it usually gets settled so am very much ok supporting them... am very thankfull that they are here w/ me & even till they get old... the feeling of giving back is really great!!!!
