Like YouTube concept! Need help pls.

Has anyone experience or have tried programming like the concept of youtube? Basically, I just need an advice on how to upload videos (.wmv, .avi, .mpeg) and convert it to .flv format and of course play it on the site. Also, is there any 3rd party software needed to install for this?

Will this work on server-side like when someone uploads a video file (.wmv, .mpeg, etc...), server will automatically convert it to .FLV then play on the page? OR, what you mean here is the user will convert the video file himself then upload the .FLV format to the server?

its a free software you have to download para mka convert ka to .flv file.

re: server issue, if mudawat man diay ug mp4, avi imu site, ok ra,.
pero kung mu require ra xa ug .flv file, so kani ang gamiton sa uploader

Thanks for the info bro! But it doesn't help me yet. What I was asking is a way to convert uploaded videos to .FLV on the server-side, like the YouTube concept, as I said. You are not going to upload a converted video file, you will be uploading video files like (.mpeg, .avi, .wmv and others), then the system will just convert it to .FLV format automatically.

Most visitors don't know about video conversion or don't care about converting the video to the right format. What they want is upload the video they want and let the site play the video they uploaded.

We used ffmpeg on the server. In combination with drupal and some modules, it did a nice job.
