First of all let me just say that acknowledging that you do have these feelings is a step in the right direction. The next step is recognizing why and what to do.
When I was younger I would find myself feeling the exact feelings that you described. It's not that I don't feel them anymore at my age (in my 40's) but I am better at knowing what triggered these feelings. Sometimes, it would be a comment made by a co-worker,something on TV, a newspaper article that upset me or caused me to worry oftentimes we forget the trigger but the worrying persists. I also notice that sometimes the reason for these feelings could be just my hormones acting upAs much as possible I AVOID calling the feelings as depression. Unexplained sadness maybe but never depression. I think depression is too clinical a term and anyone having it has no recourse but to be medicated to handle it. Once you know what is causing the uneasiness, sadness , worry or anxiety, I pray this prayer that I have on my bedside table:
GOD grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference. This normally clears my mind and it gives me peace. Hope it has the same calming effect on you.
Mao na'y gitawag ug life.
Anxiety?
sometimes i feel this...
murag di jud kow ma himutang.. pero i ignore the feeling lang then mawala raman ghapon. esp if i keep myself bz..no more time to be depressed
yep that's the same feeling I had now, and I have no idea what is it. I really tried to pray and hoping that I would get over this
there should be a reason why people get so depressed. i guess all of us in one way or another have experienced feeling down and empty. if we examine closely, sometimes it could be just loneliness, missing someone, feeling being left behind or abandoned, a going away of a friend, or just simply denying a problem or not knowing what we want. libog no?
i think regular exercise will help you cope up with depression as it will help produce serotonin in your body. i've noticed the difference myself when i exercise as compared to not exercising at all.
